theskyisthelimit99
I've confirmed this to be an issue on my machine and replicated it on another machine with similar hardware.. Basically this is the gist.. If I install FSX + Acceleration.. Then install the PNW addon, then install 2WA1.. i can alt tab and alt enter all day without fail (On windows 8 x64 RTM). This is a base windows 8 install without the ATI official 12.10 or higher drivers installed.. just the "Microsoft versions". Once I install the ATI drivers.. in this case 12.10 (and i've tried other newer versions too).. the alt tab/alt enter breaks. I can no longer tab in and out.. though if i'm in a non FTX area, sometimes I get lucky and it works.. other times it doesn't. At first I thought this was a fluke, but now that I've narrowed it down to one probable cause and replicated the issue its a real issue at least for me. Has anyone found this to be the case. In my case I've tested it with the ATI 5850 and the ATI 7750. Event viewer reveals a d3d9 related crash (again no addons installed, just the base fsx install). theskyisthelimit99
I should add, that naturally, if I switch to dx10 preview mode, then so far at least, I dont get this crash.. but dx10 even with all dx10 tweaks isnt quite as good as dx9 on my system, so thats not really a solid "fix" at this point. Wolter van der Spoel
Can't comment on ATI cards and or issues as I don't have one, but you could try and install DX9c as fsX was based on that, available here => http://www.filehippo.com/download_directx/

Aaron Myers
I'm having this same issue with an nVidia card. If I disable the object flow dll the problem also goes away, at least in my case.
