Lepres
I find setting Texture_Max_Load to 1024 in fsx.cfg (and inside FTX Aero too) appears to help raise fps a little and make for somewhat smoother flying and moving around heavy-hitting airport like 74S. This airport still hits fps real hard around the fenced-up carpark area. Is the fence the cause? Does setting to 1024 instead of 2048 lose much? Are the scenery textures outside of airport for Orbx products affected too? Anyone could share an opinion on this?
Misha Cajic
Only if the texture sheets used are 2048 x 2048, then it will affect the resolution. But from what I checked, Orbx texture sheets are mostly 1024 x 1024 or less, so it shouldn't make a difference in what you see (unless of course you are using the FTX aero 2048 runway texture, but even with that at 1024 you aren't losing much).
