Andrew D
Does the AI Traffic program affect frame Rates? Andrew D
Wolter van der Spoel
Andrew, all addons have an effect on framerates ones more others less, enabling AI means enabling another bunch of data that needs to be processed, hance a heavier load = less pfs, saying that is that you just cannot bluntly move all sliders to the right, look at the manual that comes with FTX-AI traffic and use those settings as a starting point, from there you can alter your settings, small advice change one at the time and check what the "effect" is, working that way you can establish which settings will work best for you on your system, alas there is no "one size fits all" solution
Holger Sandmann
Hi Andrew, one thing to keep in mind is that the aircraft models used with the FTX AI package were made specifically for AI use meaning they have a much lower polygon count and smaller texture sizes. Thus, compared with the default AI traffic, which uses the same models that users can fly, the fps impact is much smaller. Also, you can use the AI traffic density slider to adjust any fps impact to your liking. Cheers, Holger

Andrew D
seems not to affect fps too much. very impressive and definitely far superior to default AI Andrew
