We understand that MSFS2020 products from the Microsoft Marketplace are currently being automatically streamed into MSFS2024. While we cannot control this process, we are working as fast as we can to review our products and ensure compatibility with MSFS2024.

This process will take some time as we will also need to re-submit some products to the Microsoft Marketplace (if we make updates), but we’ll keep this forum thread up to date with the latest products confirmed as 2024 compatible.

If you encounter any issues with one of our products, please contact us at info@orbxsystems.

In the meantime, here’s a list of products that have been tested for compatibility and can be used in MSFS2024 and can be downloaded via OrbxDirect and Orbx Central.

//42 updates pr products for 2024 will be coming soon. As for Azurpoly and Blackwing, those are still in the process of being looked at. This list will be updated as soon as the products become available. So be sure to check back often. :)

So, with using 2020 and 2024 in parallel, do we have to re-download the 24 approved addons and store them parallel to the 20 library? Seems like a waste of storage, at least if they weren't changed? Can't the Orbx App automatically link to the 2020 addon folder instead?

I would agree, except that would not work for products that have needed an update.
It's early days, I am sure that a mutually acceptable solution can be found.

@Anna Cicognani Need to change MSFS2024 version URL to correct one for the above quoted product.

This has been fixed. Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for the above.  So I have both MSFS 2020 and 2024 and use Addonlinker.

Trying to avoid multiple downloads of the same scenery where possible.

I presume that I can use my existing version of the blue highlighted products in the list above for 2024?

If there is a 2024 and 2020 version then I would need to download the new 2024 version just for 2024?

I have a lot of products so keeping tab of things is going to be pretty difficult.

do I need a seperate library created for 2024? I am losing track of advice here as there seems to be overload, maybe a pinned thread just expalining what we need to do regarding Central might help some of us...

Just to clarify, do I get it right that if I buy an MSFS 2020 version of an addon, I will also get the MSFS 2024 compatible version?

Hello, I saw the list of 2024 compatible products on the forum, do I have to repurchase them if some of my purchases are available for free with 2024, but if I bought them and it shows a non-free price?

Hello,
if the MSFS 2024 versions are marked as free updates, then you do not have to pay for them if the MSFS versions are in your Orbx Direct account.
If you are seeing a price for such products, please specify which products.
Thanks.

I'm a little bit confused. Since this thread is called "compatible products", does that mean that the products marked in blue as "MSFS 2020" are compatible with 2024, but it is just not a dedicated version for the new sim, or does it mean that they are in fact NOT compatible, and only the ones specifically marked in red as "MSFS 2024" are?

Hello,
by clicking on the link for any of the blue ones and scrolling to the bottom of its product page,
you can see that they are compatible with both versions:

By clicking on the link for any of the red ones, you can see that they are compatible with only MSFS 2024:

Hi, maybe I misunderstood something, but I cannot see any of the 2024 products in my Orbx direct app. Is there a separate App for 2024?

Thank you!

Posted

Hello,
only the products that have been checked and found to be MSFS 2024 ready will appear in Orbx Central
but it must be opened for MSFS 2024.

What about Drzewiecki designs airports and sceneries?

We are still awaiting confirmation from the developer. Once confirmed, they will be added. Thanks for your patience!

How do we know when the list is updated?  At the moment we have to go through each product one by one in Orbx central to see if there is an update as it does not register that you have purchased the product.

A little confused here...   The narrative in the OP explains that there are FS2020 sceneries that have been tested as compatible with FS2024.  But... then lists both the 2020 link AND the 2024 link.  Is this to say that while the 2020 airport is "compatible" there is ALSO a 2024 version that is ALSO available that would be considered higher fidelity, etc... in terms of using the new tech 2024 offers, and would need to be paid for?

Hello,

Blue ones are compatible with both, unless there is also a red one, in which case,
you need the blue one for MSFS and the red one for MSFS 2024.

I have yet to see a red one that is not a free update.

 EGSL from Burning Blue

CPL3 from Net Designs  both need to be added to the list.

Rob, please understand that I update this list daily, and I'm also the one who updates the packages. If it's not up immediately, there's a reason for it. More will be added this morning as I regained access to the forums.

CPL3 is 2020 only.

EGSL is already on the list and has been since Thursday.

Thanks

Thanks

Rob,

I greatly appreciate this and how easy it is to update/install into MSFS with the OBRX Central App. The only "issue" if you will, is the addons that are in red and are made for MSFS2024. As a end user, the Orbx Central App will show any 2020 addons that are now available for 2024. However, for those addons like say KSJC, that I leased for 2020, that have their own 2024 installer, the user needs to come to this list or browse the products page, buy it a $0.00 and only then will it come up on Central to install it.

So the foreseen issue is that this list of the OP will keep growing and it will be more involved to keep a mental list of items that need to be purchased for 2024 at $0.00 to get Central to make it available to install.

With this in mind, I ask this. Would it benefit the community if while you are updating the master list, you come up with a plan that allows the customers to streamline the process of knowing if they have already seen an addon thats now available or not.  My thoughts would be to keep this as a master list, but start a new locked thread that only shows MSFS2024 red specific addons and a date when they were added. So someone from Orbx just starts a locked thread and everytime a new red msfs2024 item is added, add a new post so it only becomes a series of announcement post and the post date and time will help the customer know the last time they looked and can see which addons they are missing or thats now available.

As in doing it this way, I as a customer, would just open up Central everyday (or whenever) and Central would show all the 2020 addons that are newly ready for me to install. I could then just go to this newly created MSFS2024 thread and look to see what other addons I would need to get to help bring my 2020 collection current for MSFS2024.

Thanks for your consideration.
