John Heaton Posted November 19 Posted November 19 X box loaded 15 mins on wifi - looks good PC loaded just as quick but froze @ 6% loading trying again later today Guess what - first flight over my house - STILL 11YO Bing Sat map for Gold Coast--- Arghhhh 2
John Heaton Posted November 20 Author Posted November 20 (edited) Now downloaded on PC after install first attempt - and it went well from start to first sim screen Took an Archer from yukky Gold Coast for a fly over my home town - using default controls (ouch!) and as reported - Aussies - and everyone else in the World - you are being cheated again This NEW sim is still using Bing Sat 11 years old - and to check this - I did a quick flight from Moorabbin - and yes guys - the freeway just South of the airfield to Frankston is still being Built I was sooooh looking forward to this new sim - particularly as the MS presentation stated that the whole Eastcoast of Australia would use the latest Bing Sats - what a load of codswallop! I just discovered that we have to redo all our control settings via a new UI - and waiting to see what comes up on the ubiquitous U Tube in the form of assistance to this old brain Nill iIigitimum Carborundum🙃🤒 Edited November 20 by John Heaton 3
boetie Posted November 20 Posted November 20 Very disappointing. I managed to get on for half an hour and was underwhelmed with my local scenery. Didn't get a chance to try anywhere else in the world, I got kicked off! Maybe a future world update will appease us John. Cheers Graeme 😕 3 1

Onwards and upwards Emmsie 1

Cheers Graeme 😕 One possible benefit to us Aussies - since the Australian scenery is just as it was on day one 2020 - perhaps all our Orbx scenery City Scapes - Airports etc. - will fit straight away as also all our Aussie FS .to etc. - and we can transfer across to the new Community until such time as MS might bring us what was promised - as you suggest and then - "pigs might fly" To experiment - the first I will try are Gold Coast City and airport I wonder how New Zealand is ? - since we also have a raft of NZA and Orbx simulations there as well What areas of the World use the same 2020Bing- where we can do the same - E.G. - U.K? Comments from Orbx staff would be nice -OR - and now that Central -(new download) - recognises 2024 on our computers - can we do new downloads so we are updated with the 2020 stuff we have - or updated to 2024 - i.e.- no charge ones 3
wain71 Posted November 20 Posted November 20 there's nothing on central I have that shows compatible as of yet.... 1
