Braedon King Posted July 19, 2010 Share Posted July 19, 2010 Given they would not let Concorde get Supersonic over inhabited areas, This would be best for Trans-Oceanic flights like AU<->USA, Japan<->UK or ultra-high altitude. Might need to extend some runways at major airports too, because things that go that fast aren't designed to go slow (like at landing). Also landing on 'the back of the drag curve' is not generally condusive to a smooth passengers' kidney friendly landing ) A few things to consider that might come along with the new technology.
