John Heaton Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Came across this - and I am delighted that some of us on here are old enough to have actually been on this since the beginning My start was with the Commodore 64 I don't think I'll ever complain about MSFS 2020 ever again. 2 1
John Dow Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I was introduced to Bruce Artwicke's FSII on the Amiga, with marginally better graphics than the above example, and streets ahead of the monochrome wire frame pc version my friend proudly showed me. Although the evolution of the genre has been incremental, the introduction of virtual cockpits, track IR and recently VR and MSFS world scenery have been the revolutionary jumps that kept the sim as real as it gets for so many years. 1 1
Rodger Pettichord Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Funny thing is, we were happy at each stage. I remember asking my wife to look at the scenery with FS9 because it was so real. Thanks for the memories, John. 1
Rob Abernathy Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Still remember seeing the red/green wing lights on my first sighting of AI aircraft on a flight from KSMF to KSEA. I was so amazed! lol 2
