Paul140
I've just downloaded the update for this. Where can I find exactly what was updated? Thanks
chasordod
Hopefully, it removes the static boats. 😀
Nick Cooper
Hello, it depends on which simulator this is for.
chasordod
Hi Nick, In my case I have installed v 1.03 for MSFS. I still find I have static ships with static wakes around the Solent and IOW, however. Would be interested to know what has been updated.
Nick Cooper
Hello, I have asked the question of the team that added it.
John Burgess
Hi there. As far as I know nothing has changed at all (apart from the version number). The build became visible to team members a while back and I checked then. Just checked again and as far as I can tell it's exactly the same as v100. Not a clue why it appeared in the first place but I suspect that making it visible publicly may have been unintentional. All the best, John
chasordod
Thanks Nick and John. Explains why I see no difference in those areas I'm familiar with. Perhaps the design team can enlighten us. Charles
John Burgess
Hi Charles. As far as I can see the latest update from Seafront Simulations of their vessels UK South East has at least sorted out the compatibility issues around Portsmouth - most importantly I am now just seeing their HMS Victory. I know as much as you about the status of any update from our side. All the best, John

John Burgess
I'm still not seeing any changes Nick, suspect you aren't either. Sorry Paul and Charles but we'll try behind the scenes to find out what is going on. All the best, John .
chasordod
Hi John, Nick for your further efforts - clearly something amiss with this update. Also, John, thanks for your tip on the Seafront product - I have one of their products, but not that for the South East. Think I’m tempted. Best wishes, Charles
chasordod
Seems to have reverted to v 1.2 now on Central, with update details removed. Correct I think.

Christopher Low
Can someone explain to me why the update available for this is v1.02 when I have v1.03 installed? What exactly is being removed? EDIT: I have just noticed that it seems to have automatically reverted to v1.02 Edited January 27 by Christopher Low

John Burgess
2 hours ago, Christopher Low said: What exactly is being removed? v103 as made public (a mistake on our part) didn't actually update anything. Going back to v102 is, apparently, a way of trying to correct this so that the proper version 103 will be seen by people. v102 is the same as v100 as far as I know. Makes my head hurt Anyway, I've now tested the 'real' v 103 so, in answer to your question Christopher. The ships around the scenery - particularly in places like Portsmouth and Plymouth - have been removed. This hopefully leaves the field free for the likes of Seafront to do their specialised thing. They had already provided an update to their Vessel SE to solve conflicts with our HMS Victory and Warrior, we've now removed our versions anyway. It does leave Devenport looking a bit empty - I live in hope of a Vessels SW. Love Seafronts work It should mean all our static ships with static wakes have been removed. I didn't see any left but it's a large area to check The other thing is that some improvements have been made to the Severn Bridge. As far as I know that's it! I suspect it might be best to simply uninstall and reinstall when the v103 I'm now seeing goes public. All the best, John
Christopher Low
So, you have removed the versions of HMS Victory and HMS Warrior from the Great Britain South package, and now we have to pay for another package in order to get them back?

Christopher Low
I would have thought that an option to remove them if you have the other products would have been the logical decision.
John Burgess
10 hours ago, Christopher Low said: I would have thought that an option to remove them if you have the other products would have been the logical decision. A fair point Christopher but there are a number of partners who's POI's would have been compromised by ours. Having On/Off options for all these individually was probably not realistic. Rightly or wrongly I encouraged the developers to remove such conflicting POI's. So I'll take responsibility for suggesting that as a policy and the removal of Victory and Warrior is in line with it. As Wolfko mentioned that was also in line with the feedback we had. All the best, John
Kjaye
Thanks for doing this. Seafront Simulations are working on their UK Southwest scenery now too so I'm super pleased your boats won't clash with theirs. Once we have their souhtwest pack, in conjunction with their southeast vessels and your landmarks the South of England will look pretty beautiful, which is great as I live in Devon! Are you going to update the Discovery map at some point with the official list of POIs and landmarks?
Christopher Low
OK, fair enough. I will have to think about these two Seafront Simulations packages when/if they are in a sale
chasordod
Many thanks, John, for all your efforts in clarifying the situation. It’s seems a bit of a muddle. Hopefully the real update V1.03 will appear at some point. I have added Seafront’s Solent coverage which looks great, and will look forward to their product for the Southwest, the latter being my local area. 🙂 Best wishes, Charles
