It is known as Greater London’s most accessible Aerodrome, largely because it is only five minutes away from Upminster Underground and rail station making it a very short 40 minute trip from the hustle and bustle of Central London. The site is located so close to the former First World War Aerodrome, RAF Hornchurch, that their boundaries actually overlap, which is why Damyns Hall still maintains “Hornchurch Radio” as its air/ground radio service. Today Damyns Hall is still exceptionally busy and hosts The Skymax Wing Walkers, London Airsports Flying school and the famed ‘Tiger Club’, who moved to the from Headcorn Aerodrome in the mid-2010s and operate a number of unique, vintage and modern aerobatic aircraft.
