South America, the fourth-largest continent, extends from the Gulf of Darién in the northwest to the Tierra del Fuego archipelago in the south. It is a continent of extremes and is home to the world's largest river as well as the world's driest place. This is our largest in terms of coverage area with an installation size of just under 25GB. The entire Andes Mountain range has a resolution of 10 meters/pixel, whilst the rest of the continent has a resolution of 20 meters/pixel which has been interpolated to 10 meters/pixel resolution giving you a consistent experience. Like our other Microsoft Flight Simulator mesh products, South America Mesh is a 100% self-contained product with no changes made to the default mesh or any other files. Probably because it's a South America Mesh, not Central America. Would have been great though if they had included Central America, too, it's a tiny area compared to the South American landmass. Thank you this was no needed specially in Chile where I fly a lot in SA And agreed, I am really keen on seeing a good mesh for Costa Rica (All Central America of course) as the airport lays in an unreal elevation Despite they have made two freeware versions no one has managed to do the mesh I would also love a mesh for Norway, the terrain there pops up and down too much. But looking at the screenshots, I have to be honest and say the change I see is minimal... Sure I see something change in the gifs, but it is so very minimal... Am I (probably) missing something..? Sorry if my English isn't great, I'll try to write anyway in this language to give an opinion: but with or without Orbx there is no change for Angel Falls, strangely it feels like going back, it looks more like an FSX setting. Someone should look into the matter and make a specific addon for this place. The Orbx version for South America will only modify the summits and some terrain details but certainly not represent the waterfalls of Angel Falls as in reality, do not dream too much !! Well I didn't buy it but I saw the photos and if this precise place had been like in real life, we would have been entitled to a screenshot. Yeap It has always been like that Canaima park has never existed properly in any sim, I have requested it to many since FS9 but nobody cares. Maybe it is difficult to make, though I once had addon for it with water effect.
