Orbx Central Stuck on TE Great Britain North

Hi,

Is there a way I can uninstall Orbx Central and have it forget that I have started this download, since it is stuck at about 75%. I've tried uninstalling Central and reinstalling, but it just tries to continue with the download.

Hello

Orbx Central - Settings - Downloader - Temporary Location and Click the Clear Button, and verify in the location itself.

If you have setup a location to backup your downloads delete the backup for TE GB North and start afresh.

Check if anything relating to TEGB North appears in your Custom Scenery folder. If it does then just delete it. Reboot PC.

Open Orbx Central. If it starts to try and download again, Open up the download icon at the top of the page which i have circled in red 

The following pics show the process:

Now click on Pause:

Now click on the X. It will then show it is cancelling and state there is nothing more in the queue

After that is all done I suggest you then go to Orbx central/settings/downloader and click on Clear Temp folder

Thanks, but I have 450GB of free space on that drive.

If by custom scenery folder you mean the Orbx Library folder, then I have done that.

 

When clicking Pause followed by the red X, it just cycles saying it is cancelling but remains in the queue.

 

If I then shut down central and reopen, it automatically starts downloading a 4.62GB chunk of data. When that's done it goes as shown below.

It's the same drive.

 

I have the temp folder, the library folder and the backup folder (limited to 10GB) all set to the same drive that has 450GB of free space

All downloader locations set to the same drive with 450GB of free space.

Start Orbx Central, and it starts to download TE Great Britain North.

Pause then cancel the download.... the screen is stuck as shown below:

Enter settings, clear Temporary folder.

 

Shut down Orbx Central, delete any files in Temp folder, and in Orbx library folder.

 

Open Central.... and it goes back to step 1...

 

Method 2:

 

Uninstall Orbx Central, delete Orbx files from appdata/local and roaming. Reinstall Orbx Central, and it goes back to step 1...

 

Either something server side, some hidden folder I'm not aware of, or a registry key is telling Orbx Central to continue with the download it can't complete.

 

This is on my laptop. If I open Orbx Central on my PC then it opens fine (TE GB North is already installed there).

Hi

 

A 10GB limit is not even remotely close to being enough space for the install process, the install size is almost 30GB for P3D, and for X-Plane it is 142GB installed with a 22GB download (as per the product page). Orbx products are downloaded and extracted to your C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\Temp folder and sometimes need up to 3x their install size before they get installed to the simulator location, then after the install is complete, they are removed from your C:\ drive.

 

So maybe try again with the limit turned off.

I'm on P3D.

It's not the Temp folder that is limited to 10GB and in fact it's not possible to specify a limit for the Temp folder.

The Backup folder is limited to 10GB, and I thought that if the product was more than 10GB it simply would not back that product up?

 

Here is my settings on my PC, which had no issues with installing all my Orbx products.

The same settings on my laptop, although the drives being used are different to the displayed image.

I found the job-cache.json file in AppData\Local\Temp\Orbx, deleted its contents and the issue is now resolved.

This was the file I suspected was out there and needed help in finding.

I spoke too soon...

 

Although I have now been able to clear my job queue and download other products, if I now try and download TE GB North, it downloads a 4.6GB chunk of data, says that I am 70% complete and hangs on installing...
