Another twin-engined classic and an American legend.

The Electra was Lockheed's first twin-engine, all-metal design (designed by Lloyd Stearman ... yes that Stearman !) which first felt the air under its wings in 1935. A highly modified Model 10 E was made famous by Amelia Earhart who tragically disappeared during a round-the-world record attempt. The Electra is so evocative of the '30s and '40s and appeared in many movies, carrying Humphry Bogart to some distant Pacific island or later battling valiantly pressed into military service during WW2.

There were only 149 Electra E10's ever built. Now is your chance to get your hands on one!

Wow! Although all I have to go on are these screenshots, it is awesome to have such a good-looking Electra in the sim. Hope it means more classics like the DC-3 and Ford TriMotor will come along too. Will jump on this as soon as it goes on sale for sure.

Then I'll just have to wait. Because there's no way I'm paying $30 for this. (It was just reviewed by AvAngel who also wanted to love it.)

The textures and pretty poor to be honest inside and out and for the price I would have expected more quality.

Really?  Here's a screenshot of the panel, and the external view taken just now. Looks pretty good to me.  I see the curtains and the interior through the passenger windows are blurry.  It's possible this is deliberate to simulate looking through the glass, for me it doesn't work too well.  But that's the only issue I have with the textures.  Hopefully the developers will take a look and see if it's what they intended for the windows.

John, is it just me or does the texture of the door in your second shot looks different to the rest of the fuselage. I had this plane in P3D and I don't recall it looked like this in that sim.

Perhaps this texturing is more authentic than the original P3D version? I don't know enough about the modelled plane but I think a different texture on a door could well be a possibility, from a different material for the door, to a repair since manufacture. I think the people to check with are the developers, I'm sure they will be happy to answer any questions with authoritative answers.
