Aerosoft and Orbx today announce a new partnership which sees both companies sharing distribution of their respective products.

Winfried Diekmann, Aerosoft’s CEO, said: “A great partnership – both Aerosoft and Orbx are very well known brands in the flight simulation industry, and both care greatly about high quality and customer satisfaction. Together we can offer our respective customers a great variety of interesting products.”

Anna Cicognani, Orbx’s CEO, said: “We are very excited to start this partnership with Aerosoft. Orbx has been developing high quality products for the major flight sim platforms for man years, and we are proud our two Companies - which share a lot of history - can offer flight simmers some of the best products from our respective catalogues.”

About 15 products from each Company are going to be initially on offer with this distribution agreement, with more to be added to the catalogue in the near future.

As, between both companies, you have a long-standing reputation for producing a broad range of quality addons for the various simulation platforms, perhaps your partnership might explore producing a single, slick, carefully-vetted alternate marketplace for MSFS. This might remove the increasing chaos of the current in-game marketplace which seems to be a place for grifters who retail junk. I'm an old-timer in this hobby, but the poor noobs need someone to lead them toward the light.

Since I don't want to have to use installers other than Orbx Central and the MSFS Marketplace, I always welcome partnership announcements like this. Aerosoft's MSFS products aren't up to the same level of quality as Orbx, but they have unique offerings and its great to have them available on this platform.
