Hi Nick,

I remember reading something about the Orbx London City Airport and your Landmarks London City Pack conflicting several updates ago.

Why is it that the two conflict where I have to click the compatibility button to "without the UK world update installed?"

It must be set to "without" to show all of the buildings and if it's "with update installed," we lose the London Landmark buildings.

I have both Orbx packages purchased thru Orbx Central.

Hello,

the Asobo update and the original Orbx London Landmarks pack are not compatible.

The customer is offered the choice of installing the Asobo update and setting the Landmarks pack to

compatibility with that, or not installing the Asobo update, in which case, the appropriate control panel

setting will restore the original product.

As far as I am aware, none of this affects or is affected by the EGLC addon.

Thanks Nick.  I was seeing fuzzy landing strip lines on the runway of London City during takeoff and when I switched to "with UK world updates installed, the lines went away.  I would switch back to "UK world updates off" and the landing strips became fuzzy again.

I "think" the issue went away after I removed the MS Marketplace pack that I saw was still in my folder.  I decided to purchase London Landmarks again through Orbx, as I want to start buying through you guys instead of the marketplace for updates, etc.  Maybe those were conflicting.

Thanks again for replying.

Hey Nick,

It did it again, but definitely an intermittent issue.

I went to take off from the London City Airport runway (not cold start) and saw the blurry/jagged runway strips again. I then swung the view around 180 just to make sure I could see the London Landmarks, to confirm I am using the London City Pack without MFS UK world update installed, which I was.

I then swung 180 degrees back facing forward and I noticed the lines were clearer for the most part. When I moved the view to the side, the lines were a little blurry/jagged towards the outside edges (see images).

This was occurring before the previous two most recent updates and patches, but I think this started occurring within the past 2-3 weeks.  Hard for me to say as I only fly 1-2 times a week lately, but keeping everything up to date.  Sorry if I should have posted this as a new topic?

I always get blurry jagged edges on my taxiway markings at many airports.  It looks to me like part of their performance maximising coding for complex areas where the graphics loading is high.  I doubt there's much Orbx can do about it as it seems to be the way MSFS handles the supplied textures rather than the textures being in any way deficient.

Thanks John.  I've only been simming since this past November so now that I'm getting past a lot of the wow-factor of just simply being able to "fly," I think I'm starting to notice more of the imperfections/nuances than before too. This system still amazes me!
