peschuh
Bought KSBA from Orbx site for msfs 2020 Windows 10. DL'd Orbx Central and tried installing airport with both options on central. It seems to put a KSBA folder under a different file location than where my other airports I purchased through marketplace in msfs2020. Don't know what to do to correct this. I tried putting the KSBA folder where my purchased airports are, but didn't resolve issue.
Jon Clarke
Welcome to the forums. Please describe what you mean by "tried installing airport with both options on central" What both options do you refer to? Orbx Central will download and install to wherever you direct it to at the point of installation. When you download an addon from Orbx, Central gives you the option of where to install it, If you do not have any self created Libraries then by default Orbx Central will install into the Community folder which is the default folder for all MSFS 3rd party addons. The pic below shows you where Orbx Central is asking where to install the addon. In the pic you can see that I have created several Libraries which are noted on the right side of the pic. If you do not have self created libraries then only the option to install into Microsoft Flight Simulator would have been displayed. By choosing that option it will be installed into your Community folder which sits in the same location as your Official folder.
Tawni
Plus one on this issue. Problem occurred after the most recent update to MSFS 2020. Was previously working fine, file is installed in default path with other working add-ons in the \community folder. However, it does not get the little wrench icon depicting 3rd party content on the World Map screen in MSFS 2020 and SBA displays in sim as default content. rctrappo
Hello. Yesterday I found out that there was an update for KSBA. I updated it and the airport just disappeared. I've tried everything and I can't solve the problem. I already removed everything from the "Community" folder, cleared the cache and solved nothing. Strange is that I remove the folder referring to KSBA from the Community folder, I go to Orbx Central and ask to reinstall and in 1 or 2 seconds it installs again demonstrating that it did not download and says that it is already installed. I'm sorry for posting this problem on this topic, but I already missed my last Sunday because I've been trying to solve this for more than seven hours and I don't understand how I'm going to solve it. Somebody help me, please. Thanks.
Jon Clarke
Try uninstalling the KSBA using Orbx Central. Reboot the PC. Clear your Temp folder, Check if you have a Backup copy made. If so, move it to a another location on the same drive. How To check if you have Backup option enabled the attached pic shows the default location of your Backups and also how to Clear your Temp folder. Ignore the Untick message in the pic if you want to continue making Backups. Reinstall KSBA which will now include any data from the update. rctrappo
I did all these procedures that you suggested and nothing happened. I have been an Orbx customer for many years and with the launch of the FS2020 I am remaking my collection by buying scenarios here as well as at the Marketplace, without having any problems. But now, honestly, I don't know what to do ...

Jon Clarke
Uninstall KSBA Rename your Community folder to Community.x Make a new folder called Community Reboot PC Install KSBA to the Microsoft Flight Simulator Folder option. This will mean you have only KSBA in your addon/Community folder, nothing else. We can them=n see if there is an issue still. Check that the size of the KSBA folder is: Size on Disk=176MB,229 files,8 Folders Report back
rctrappo
Hi, Jon. Following in his footsteps, everything went back to working. I think the only thing I was doing wrong was to keep the other Orbx files in the Community folder. That serves as learning for other users. Big hug and thanks for your patience. Merry Christmas to you and all Simmers!
