Dylanear Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 I updated MSFS 2020 to 1.10.7.0, but didn't look for anything related to Orbx, I only own the weather presets for MSFS 2020. Then I reinstalled P3D to get a fresh v5.1 running. I check Orbx Central to see if my P3D scenery is still working with v5.1 and while I see MSFS, X Plane and P3D V4, V5 does not show in Central. So I reboot. Now P3D v5 shows just fine, P3D V4 and X Plane show up fine. But now MSFS doesn't show up at all. So I can't do any shopping for MSFS products. I tried reinstalling Orbx Central, no change. I have no idea what to try to do now to get Orbx to see I do have MSFS installed?? I know my situation is a bit messy with the various sims installed, but hasn't been a problem before now. And I suspect I'm far from the only one running multiple sims and multiple versions of a sim.

There appear to be three possible solutions. One is run MSFS again and see if it then appears. The second is to completely uninstall and then reinstall Orbx Central. The third is to uninstall Orbx Central and also remove C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local\orbx-central-updater and C:\Users\your name\AppData\Roaming\Orbx\Central. This third option completely resets Orbx Central and should be used as a last resort.
John Dow Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 My Netlimiter software lists a new MSFS.exe after the update, this is the second time it has changed. All I can think of is that the update causes a change in the registry details that Orbx Central doesn't pick up (until the game is run). However, in my case, I have not had that problem. Possible because I would have run MSFS straight after the update which then should have reset Orbx Central as well.
Dylanear Posted November 1, 2020 Author Posted November 1, 2020 I'll keep tying things. Also of note, if I go into the Content Manager in MSFS is just gives me a spinning icon in the center and never shows any contents.

It can happen if a person bought the pre-order, and then decided to change where new apps are installed on., after they had downloaded the small Pre Order coding. After the HOTFIX, my system said that it could not find my installation. The only recourse for myself, was to re-install the whole shebang. I would think then that Orbx could not also 'see' the installation route, prior to the HOTFIX start ICON change up.
