resolved Sydney City scape may not have installed correctly

I have installed the Sydney Cityscape scenery but am unsure if everything has installed as it should. Your promo video shows POI markers for the Bark Endeavour, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Crown Sydney, Anzac Bridge and Sydney Tower. When I fly around the area there is no sign of the sailing ship and the only POI marker I see is for the opera house.

 

I have tried uninstalling and installing again and have deleted the rolling cache in MSFS but this made no difference. The scenery is in the community folder and appears to have the same folder structure as advised in the thread “Sydney City scape half working?”

 

I think this may be related to the issue under discussion in the “Sydney City scape half working?” thread but have started a new topic to avoid confusion.

Hi Shaun, do I understand correctly, the objects are there but you are missing POI markers? That is ok, because there are no additional markers. You wouldn’t be able to see the city anymore if every POI had a marker. What you have noticed in the promo video are information texts in selected places to demonstrate what you can expect.

Hi Frank - yes that is correct although I can’t see the Endeavour sailing ship - is that supposed to be included with the package?

Ok, that's an issue indeed. Can you please provide a screenshot showing the inner city including the place where the Endeavour should be?

The Endeavour seems to be missing in my installation as well. I have flown low and slow all around the harbor trying to judge by the photo in your screen shots and cannot find it although not exactly positive where it resides. All  the other buildings and bridges have installed properly.

You can spot it at Australian National Maritime Museum (Darling Harbour) -> Shaun's screenshot above.

It's not very large compared with modern yachts. There was only little room for Captain Cook and his crew.

@ Frank S - 

Although I have MSFX -- I don't use it very much due to my disappointment with the Australian

scenery being so far out of date - with what was seemed to be promised in the early promos -

especially in my own area  of Queensland where the Bing Photogen is at least  7years out of date. 

 

It is an obvious move of the "Australian Orbx"  -to redo so much of the mess that is in the Sim as it stands - and this rebuild

of Sydney is a fantastic example -- and it was the above pic of Darling Harbour that moved me to save it.

 

We spent a week in Sydney as tourists and stayed at the Sheraton there in DH - and we even travelled on that Ferry in the pic

 

Much more of this quality work-  in Australia -- will move move me away from my comfort of P3D 4 and an Orbx TE World
