rhayman
I have used the London scenery pack in P3D and it was great, so I re-purchased it for FS2020. Still generally good, but I was disappointed to see that most of the jetties and boats moored in the Thames were submerged. At one point I saw cars and trucks submerged while supposedly crossing bridges, and even taking to the air to regain the road at the ends! Has anyone else experienced this? I'd like to know if we are going to experience this type of problem again with add-on scenery and airports. It leads to great frustration with plenty of weeping and gnashing of teeth. I have also experienced problems in the past when add-on scenery is overlayed on the base scenery, for example, the Brisbane International Airport parking areas. And how easy it is to get in a mess trying various suggested fixes! I will probably be very careful and wait when the next fantastic piece of realistic scenery or highly desirable airport is released. I love all my Orbx add-ons, but I also expect them to play nicely with the simulator.
Nick Cooper
Hello, welcome to the forums. Both of your complaints are in fact features of the simulator. There is a freeware fix available for the water level in the Thames. As far as I am aware, there is no fix yet for the traffic in the water. The SDK is not yet complete, we are told. rhayman
Thanks Nick. I saw that fix after my original post. After applying it, it seemed to be a bit better, but not perfect. Traffic still crosses bridges under water . Anyway, hope FS2020 developers eventually address issues like this.

Hi Nick, where would I find the freeware fix for the water level in the Thames please? UPDTE: Actually found it on another post, let me answer my own question and give Nick a rest https://flightsim.to/file/218/river-thames-water-fix-ver-
rhayman
Thanks everyone. Here's another query - I know that the Thames is tidal - has this been allowed for in the sim or any of the add-ons or fixes?
Craig Riach
@rhayman I think to have different tides would be impossible, but my latest update for my add-on does now have many beaches from the Thames visible now.
rhayman
Many thanks for your efforts Dor. I notice that there seems to be an update to V2.2 now. What is the best way for me to update the mod? Should I remove the previous one first, or can I just replace a file in my Community folder? I have both the London City pack and EGLC. Craig Riach
@rhayman Yeah had to make a separate build for use with EGLC add-on. So now there are two version in the zip file. Anyway yes delete the old file in the community folder, then unzip the new file into your community folder but make sure to delete the version you don't require. You will want to keep the "thameswater for Orbx EGLC add-on" file and delete the other in your case. In that link above click on file information for better instruction of what to do cos it is also important my add-on is placed below the Orbx add-on for the London city and EGLC add-ons in the content.xml folder. The EGLC version I added is the same as the other but has some fixes to get rid of green dry patches in the water around the EGLC airport runway which appear due to objects being removed In the EGLC add-on version. rhayman
Many thanks Dor. I managed to work all that out, except for the order of the entries in the MSFS Content.xml file. I will fix that now.
Craig Riach
I think if the Orbx add-ons were installed before adding my add-on, it should place my add-on below the Orbx files in the list anyway, best to check though.
