avocado0425
Hello Last year I purchased AUv2 and after installation was dismayed by the conflict with my Orbx Australian airports. I reverted to v1. I have been monitoring the forums and noted the activity re fixes and updates to AUv2. I decided to try again. Installation of AUv2 was without problems, however when I selected my favourite YPMQ I was very disappointed with the result - no change from th first attempt last year - grey concrete terminal again. I had hoped that it would have been corrected. I then looked up Graham Eccleston's fix files and applied the appropriate one for YPMQ. This fixed the terminal display but the forecourt between the terminal and the tarmac was grey nothing, just a few sprigs of grass. No pathways and some of the security fencing missing. At this point I became quite frustrated so did not proceed with any of the other airports. Surely the latest version of AUv2 would have addressed these issues. Please advise. avocado0425
Hello Smudger All panel selections are set to max as are settings in fsx. Still does not address the fact that the latest version of AUv2 still needs "fixes" for Orbx airports.
Doug Sawatzky
I think what Smudger is referring to is shown in the image below, most of the airports will have this control panel option.

avocado0425
Hello all Spent some time re-installing my Aus airports and now all seems to be ok except for YPMQ. I still have a problem despite re-install with some missing textures, help would be much appreciated. A couple of pics
Doug Sawatzky
Please post a copy of your scenery.cfg file found at C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX. Please note: Do not open the file and copy and paste the contents, just attach the file.
avocado0425
Scenery.CFG Hi Doug, hope this is the right one. Regards Graeme
Doug Sawatzky
Thanks Graeme Your scenery.cfg is a mess. But I suspect the core issue is going to be related to one of your Ants or OZx products. But first, please rearrange the default entries as shown in the below image, and make sure they are all checked activated. Then in Orbx Cental go to settings and use the Insertion point tool to set them as in the below image. Then please repost the revised scnery.cfg. avocado0425
Scenery.CFG Thanks Doug Scenery library re-arranged. Interesting that when checking Orbx Central insertion point list changes are not reflected. Revised cfg att. Regards Graeme
Doug Sawatzky
Your scenery.cfg looks good now, and yes the insertion point list is not meant to be a replica of the scenery library list. Now to trouble shoot any issues, you can do a search of your entire sim installation and look for example any YPMQ entries and disable any non Orbx YPMQ items. avocado0425
Found two BMP files, YPMQ_fx.1 and YPMQ_fx.2 in Fsx/Effects/Texture folder, both pre dating my Orbx purchases. Have disabled both with no effect. Am curious to know why installing AUv2 has caused the problem as everything was ok before. Am tempted to revert to AUv1 again. avocado0425
Hi Doug Thank you for all your efforts. Had a look at YPMG on ADE and found an image matching the top down already posted, May be useful or not
Doug Sawatzky
Thanks I went and had a look and my YPMQ is the same as yours, so it seems to be correct. But lets ask @Graham Eccleston or @Holger Sandmann
avocado0425
Hi Doug That is interesting. With AUv1 there is more grass in front of the terminal, also some palm trees, two curved pathways, grey and white striped, leading from terminal fence gate to aircraft gates 1 and 2. Apron same colour and blending with taxiways, There no hard edges. The shape observed in the overhead pic is not evident. The screenshots in the Orrbx product list appear to confirm this Perhaps Graham or Holger can shine some light on the problem. Graham Eccleston
It does appear an incorrect ADE file has found it's way into the update. Here is the corrected one. Just drop it into your Orbx\FTX_AU\FTXAA_YPMQ\Scenery folder overwriting the current file and all should be good. I will arrange for the installer to be updated. avocado0425
Thank you vert much Graham. Has fixed all except for the palm trees. Their shadows appear to be there but no trees. Have reloaded libraries, checked display settings but alas no trees. Regards Graeme
avocado0425
Sorry Graham I forgot to mention the word DEPARTURES is missing from the appropriate doorway. I believe it was there originally. Regards Graeme

Graham Eccleston
Can you post a screenshot of your Orbx\FTX_AU\FTXAA_YPMQ\Scenery folder please. This is how Pot Macquarie looks on my FSX system with the updated ADE file added. All palm trees visible. I can also confirm there is no wording over the 'Departures' door. Graham Eccleston
Your Scenery folder looks fine Graeme. The trees are all in the placement file ORBX_YPMQ_PLC_landside_airside_trees.bgl and use tree objects contained in the Vegetation libraries within the main Orbx Libraries. Are your Orbx libraries up to date? Also can you check your Scenery settings within FSX and make sure they are set to Normal or higher.

Smudger
Hello Graeme, could you possibly have an OZX or 3rd party scenery for YPMQ installed on your system ?
avocado0425
Hello Smudger, I have already done a thorough search and found two files unrelated to Orbx YPMQ (see earlier post with Doug Sawatzky ). Both are bmp files of lighting halos, were disabled with no effect. I have just checked again and the disabled files have been replaced by the system. avocado0425
Hello All That did not work. However the plot thickens as I have just noticed some dark patches to the left of the terminal where I suspect there should be trees, also moving left again to the creeam coloured shed where the light pole is and in the background. There are more such scattered around. Perhaps a kind person could check for me. Cheers Graeme
Nick Cooper
Hello, it seems to me that the word "Departures" would be a little redundant at the airside, entering the terminal through the departure door would surely result in missing the plane which clearly is not going to depart from the car park, or inside the terminal. I am completely unable to remove the trees which persist almost regardless of settings.
