AUv2 and Australian airports

Hello

Last year I purchased AUv2 and after installation was dismayed by the conflict with my Orbx Australian airports. I reverted to v1. I have been monitoring   the forums and noted the activity re fixes and updates to AUv2. I decided to try again. Installation of AUv2 was without problems, however when I selected my favourite YPMQ I was very disappointed with the result - no change from th first attempt last year - grey concrete terminal again. I had hoped that it would have been corrected. I then looked up Graham Eccleston's fix files and applied the appropriate one for YPMQ. This fixed the terminal display but the forecourt between the terminal and the tarmac was grey nothing, just a few sprigs of grass. No pathways and some of the security fencing missing. At this point  I became quite  frustrated so did not proceed with any of the other airports.

Surely the latest version of AUv2 would have addressed these issues. Please advise.

Thanks Graeme

Your scenery.cfg is a mess. But I suspect the core issue is going to be related to one of your Ants or OZx products.

But first, please rearrange the default entries as shown in the below image, and make sure they are all checked activated.

FSX Default Enties.PNG

Then in Orbx Cental go to settings and use the Insertion point tool to set them as in the below image.

OC Insertion Points.PNG

Then please repost the revised scnery.cfg.

Your scenery.cfg looks good now, and yes the insertion point list is not meant to be a replica of the scenery library list.

Now to trouble shoot any issues, you can do a search of your entire sim installation and look for example any YPMQ entries and disable any non Orbx YPMQ items.

Found two BMP files, YPMQ_fx.1 and YPMQ_fx.2 in Fsx/Effects/Texture folder, both pre dating my Orbx purchases. Have disabled both with no effect. Am curious to know why installing AUv2 has caused the problem as everything was ok before. Am tempted to revert to AUv1 again.

Hi Doug

That is interesting. With AUv1 there is more grass in front of the terminal, also some palm trees, two curved pathways, grey and white striped, leading from terminal fence gate to aircraft gates 1 and 2. Apron same colour and blending with taxiways, There no hard edges. The shape observed in the overhead pic is not evident. The screenshots in the Orrbx product list appear to confirm this Perhaps Graham or Holger can shine some light on the problem.

Your Scenery folder looks fine Graeme. The trees are all in the placement file ORBX_YPMQ_PLC_landside_airside_trees.bgl and use tree objects contained in the Vegetation libraries within the main Orbx Libraries. Are your Orbx libraries up to date?

Also can you check your Scenery settings within FSX and make sure they are set to Normal or higher.

Hello Smudger,

I have already done a thorough search and found two files unrelated to Orbx YPMQ (see earlier post with Doug Sawatzky ). Both are bmp files of lighting halos, were disabled with no effect. I have just checked again and the disabled files have been replaced by the system.

Hello All

That did not work. However the plot thickens as I have just noticed some dark patches to the left of the terminal where I suspect there should be trees, also moving left again to the creeam coloured shed where  the light pole is and in the background. There are more such scattered around.

Perhaps a kind person could check for me.

Cheers

Hello,

it seems to me that the word "Departures" would be a little redundant at the airside, entering the terminal

through the departure door would surely result in missing the plane which clearly is not going to depart

from the car park, or inside the terminal.

I am completely unable to remove the trees which persist almost regardless of settings.
