Edward Harvie Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 TEGB North, Purchased 2019-12-03, Transaction ID; 5de63e1458efa. For use with Steam Version of X-Plane 11. Will not install - missing files, have been notified that full build not available. Also have TEGB Central & South these installed OK. Please advise what action I need to take to install this product. Thanks
Jon Clarke Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Welcome Make sure you read and ensure you have ALL the requirements mentioned in the link below: Make sure you pay attention to the free space requirements on both the drive you are downloading onto and the drive you are installing onto. Relocate your Temp file if necessary. How to that an dthe other htings to check are in the link. Attach you XP Log from your XP directory please so i can see what it is saying is the actual problem pease.
Edward Harvie Posted August 8, 2020 Author Posted August 8, 2020 Hi Jon Thanks for your reply. Checked as suggested. E:drive (temp location) is 500GB with 375GB free space. F:drive X-plane directory and Orbx backup is 4TB with 3011GB free space. Tried install again but still same error. (screenshots attached). All 3 GB South ,Central and North were installed and had no issues previously. Have run X-Plane and GB South and GB Central are OK with no issues. scenery_packs.ini
Jon Clarke Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Please try the following first: Run Verify files and see if it resolves the issue. If not then immediately after the attempted Verify attach your Orbx Central log file via Orbx Central/settings/help. Last resort is to ensure to delete any backup copy (see the attached pic for the location of a Backup copy if that option is still enable marked in Green)) and then reboot and reinstall TEGB North. Let me know the results.
Edward Harvie Posted August 12, 2020 Author Posted August 12, 2020 Hi Jon Have tried your suggestions but no luck. Ran Verify Files and have attached log file as requested. Removed backup files, Un-ticked auto backup box and rebooted. But still error message of files failing to extract and convert. TE GB North log.txt

Edward Harvie Posted August 19, 2020 Author Posted August 19, 2020 Hi Jon Any progress with the errors in installing TE GB North?
Jon Clarke Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 @Nick Cooper Hi Nick, my request for this to be moved to the Orbx Central forum still needs to be actioned. Many thanks.
Edward Harvie Posted September 11, 2020 Author Posted September 11, 2020 Hi Jon It has been a while now that I am not able to install TE GB North. Is there anything that can be done to get my purchase of this download to work?
Jon Clarke Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 I apologise that this has not been moved to the correct Orbx Central support forum In the meantime if you would be good enough to try and install again and if it fails then attach your latest Orbx Central log file via Orbx Central/settings/help. I need the log info to be the very latest after an unsuccessful install attempt.
Guest Josh Koz Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 HI @Edward Harvie The following on your log files indicates that Orbx Central is having trouble finding or accessing the F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\X-Plane 11\Custom Scenery\ folder. 2020-08-12T09:48:05.133Z [INFO] [Saturn] - Could not find a part of the path 'F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\X-Plane 11\Custom Scenery\Orbx_A_GB_North_TrueEarth_Custom'. 2020-08-12T09:48:27.400Z [INFO] [Saturn] - [ERROR] Unable to create directory F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\X-Plane 11\Custom Scenery\Orbx_B_GB_North_TrueEarth_Overlay\Earth nav data\+50-010 2020-08-12T09:48:27.400Z [INFO] [Saturn] - System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\X-Plane 11\Custom Does the F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\X-Plane 11\Custom Scenery\ folder exist? Is it a strict folder or a shortcut/symlink/junction etc? What do the contents of the folder look like?
Edward Harvie Posted September 15, 2020 Author Posted September 15, 2020 Hi Jon /Josh Tried again, same result - files failing to extract and convert. Have attached log text (immediately after verify files), screenshot of X-Plane Custom scenery File and scenery-packs.ini file central log file.txt scenery_packs.ini
Guest Josh Koz Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Hi @Edward Harvie The screenshot of your custom scenery folder has every other product installed directly into the simulator as a regular folder but the TrueEarth GB North appear as shortcuts. Can you perform the following: Ensure there are no active jobs in the Orbx Central download queue. Remove all shortcuts from the Custom Scenery directory that have GB_North in their name. Reattempt the installation of the product
Edward Harvie Posted September 22, 2020 Author Posted September 22, 2020 Hi Jon/Josh Cleared all GB-North files from Custom Scenery directory and scenery-packs.ini. Re-installed GB-north direct to x-plane root directory and all installed OK. Ran X-plane all GB -North scenery working OK now. Thanks for your help guys. Regards Eddie Harvie
