Today we fly from Ben Gurion Intl. ...

... to Tel Aviv.

What an impressive city. And even with a little "cityscape" here, some houses wth Hebrew letters.

Beach after beach, though in Corona times with no PeopleFlow.

At Haifa we turn inland...

... towards Lake Genezareth / Lake Tiberias. It is the lowest freshwater lake on Earth and the second-lowest lake in the world (after the Dead Sea, a saltwater lake). It is approximately 53 km (33 mi) in circumference, about 21 km (13 mi) long, and 13 km (8.1 mi) wide. Just some info for Angus, the elderly Scotsman - and Karl.

The main inlet of the lake is the upper Jordan river...

... which leads us to the Golan Heights. We all know about their strategic relevance and the conflicts in this region. John Lennon was just so right.

Kiryat Shmona, the northernmost Israel city.

Just seconds later we descend towards the beautiful Lebanon coast...

... and into Beirut.

Who needs L.A. when you have such a location? Just the peace is missing in this region...

Nice, but "Don't Shoot" written on the aircraft is just kind of begging for Trouble!

Usually I try to choose local liveries for my flights. But I have none for here, so I thought this could fit...

Great captures, great aircraft, great story, great title and great song which I have performed here with guitar in OZ for some decades on ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day.

Thank you very much for that comment, TT. The song is, indeed, a great piece of art, and fitting to remembering as well as to thoughts of "how could it be".

A wonderful set from a very troubled part of the world.

Even though there are no bridges above it... The landscape looks so inviting, it is a pity what is going up around there. Syria is only 20 kilometers away from Kiryat Shmona, Damaskus and Beirut are 40 miles!

Nice. It really looks Middle-East.

I've should have been there last April if it wasn't for Corona.

Thank you Ben. Same with my Canada trip which was impossible. Up to now only United did not return my money...

Another interesting flight Gerold. I hope one day there will be Peace for All.

Thanks for the comment, Karl. Especially in this focal region life and travel is so difficult - since at least 70 years!
