Let´s see if the table is set

Recommended Posts

Here we go from Johannesburg O. R. Tambo airport (ICAO code is FAOR, and in the current optics it should be called FAbORing in the simulator) ...

... across Joburg city ...

... and, later, Bloemfontain.

On the way we can see the South African landclass in all its current "glory".

And this is, indeed, the famous "table cloth", hanging over the mountain with the same name at Cape Town.

At least the runway could be seen underneath the clouds, ...

... and a beautiful view of Cape Town.

The most important passengers deboard first at FACT.

Super shots Gerold.  I do not remember ever seeing shots of that part of the world.

Thanks John. Until now we all are rarely flying in Africa. Time to change this...!

Nice flight but I don’t understand your above statement

Thanks Jack. The statement can be understood if you ever flew to Johannesburg in your sim. That airport is a boring mess, one of the most primitive I have seen since FS5. And even the (cheap) payware you could get for it does not look better. Unfortunately I would not expect our favourite scenery provider to help here, this would rather be a challenge for FlyTampa, FSDT or FlightBeam.

Great set Gerold, it will be interesting to see you repeat the flight when OLC Africa comes out.

Oh yes Martyn, you can be sure I make that. Plus, I will be able to add some real life shots later this year (window seat is already booked).
