John Venema
WELCOME TO THE SUNSHINE STATE! The sun beats down on the state of Florida all year giving it its common name of the Sunshine State. The state flower is the orange blossom which aptly celebrates this beautiful part of the world. Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other, Florida has mile upon mile of white sand beaches, several thriving metropolises and a sparse range of culture and ethnicity. With the power of the Orbx TrueEarth technology, this is Florida like you’ve never seen it before! Over 170,304 Sq. Km (65,754 Sq. Miles) of stunning, highly detailed orthoimagery has been included. Stretching from the very north of Florida, right down to the ‘Keys. From Spring Break party paradise Panama City to thrill-ride central, Orlando. The innovative technology within TrueEarth means that millions of accurately placed trees and vegetation all fit with the tropical ecosystem of Florida’s climate. Some highlights from this hot destination include the coastal city of Tampa. Perhaps you want to embark on some island hopping fun, then the Florida Keys offer the perfect tropical getaway. Detail and attention have gone into providing detailed watermasking effects to blend in the high-quality aerial imagery with X-Plane 11’s water. TRUECOLOUR TECHNOLOGY TrueEarth Florida is our most advanced TE region yet, and we are introducing new TrueColour technology to perfectly match the colours of every house roof in the entire state, and all vegetation. This provides for a much more realistic and cohesive experience like never before with everything having a much more "bedded in" look and the vegetation blending in far more naturally. QUICK STATS 8,310,553 accurately placed buildings Over 400 million trees with TrueColour Tech Nearly 1,000 bespoke custom 3D models all with PBR Exclusive to TrueEarth US Florida is our brand new Cityscape Miami which has been developed by Frank Schibben who brought you the stunning Honolulu and Melbourne cityscapes earlier this year. With one of the largest skylines in the US, Miami is home to a variety of breathtaking skyscrapers including the Panorama Tower, the Four Seasons Hotel and Miami Center. Miami is always a visual delight due to the scenic coastal beaches and vibrant buildings. If towering buildings aren’t your thing, then spend hours flying up and down the famous Miami Beach - the views during late evening sunsets is also something you should experience. TrueEarth US Florida also introduces our brand new building system, which sees increased detail in the millions of placed buildings, along with improvements to overall performance. Tykie
Hello, what you have looks absolutely fantastic! I do have one request: if, at all possible, please include the Dry Tortuga Islands. It is a United States National Park and it is approximately 70 miles form Key West. It would be a great spot for VFR flying because the park houses an old fort that has a great history and a lot of daily tourists.
ikbenik
Incredible good looking and true lifelike scenery...a surprise to me because I expected first Sth California...so that is also to see in a while after this release? JoseCFII
I do not know if I should be excited or start crying. How can ORBX do this to me? a KTPA tease? That's all I deserve. If this is released for p3d v4, I'm changing my plans for 2020.

Gypsy Pilot
This scenery being released for P3d v4 is some of the best news I have in years. My move to X Plane to obtain the True Earth Scenery has resulted in a minor depression because of having to turn my back on all of the dollar investment in ORBX scenery I own. JV's statement that he is going port True Earth to P3d is like warm, golden Sunrise after a long winter's night.

Frankie_2
Just out of curiosity: Are there any specific reasons for Florida being the next TrueEarth region? While I have to admit that the images presented above look stunning, regions like Maine or Alaska would have been more appealing to me personally. The Orbx South-East-Alaska package would be great! But I am afraid that the digital images up there are not good enough. My orth4xp results for Alaska are - unfortunatelly - questionable... Well, maybe Tony and Orbx, may accept the challenge...
StevePHL
Alaska is tough, yeah. There is good imagery in parts. Mostly patchy. I too look forward to see what ORBX can come up with for this mecca of bush flying. I think even FS2020 will have a tough time up there. Probably lots of interpolation.
