John Venema
The City of Destiny Awaits With Tacoma Narrows Airport on the Kitsap Penisula side of the Tacoma Narrows strait, heading south will put the famous Tacoma Narrows bridge on your left-wing making for some spectacular views. Landing in from the North also provides GA pilots with exceptional vistas thanks to the natural beauty surrounding the airport and beyond. This is the exciting debut airport from our new UK in-house team of young developers, with many of them recent graduates from various universities in Great Britain and Europe. Be sure to check out the impressively designed 3D modelling for FBOs including the narrows Aviation Air Centre and Pavco Flight Center. Tacoma Narrows Airport is a great product for those that appreciate the finer details. The 5,000ft runway is the perfect length for GA aircraft, as well as private jets offering charter or air taxi services. With plenty of parking spots on the ramp, grab some friends and do some exciting formation flying over a stunning region full of life and variation. With Seattle-Tacoma International airport only 18 miles away, expect to keep busy in the skies around Tacoma Narrows airport as you monitor the frequency to keep clear of the main international traffic. However you may use Tacoma Narrows Airport, it’s the perfect excuse to fly across the region of Washington. Fun Fact: Some of the largest octopuses in the world live in the ruins of the original Tacoma Narrows Bridge which collapsed in 1940. COVERAGE MAP FEATURES First new Orbx airport in Washington for many years! PBR implementation for both P3Dv4 and XP11 Accurate modeling and superb textures Static aircraft, clutter and equipment Volumetric grass and HD trees Tacoma Narrows Bridge modeled Great GA airport location and a departure point for other Orbx airports in the area Debut airport from our new UK in-house team of developers XP11 Screenshots P3Dv4 Screenshots As per the recent multi-platform debut of Edinburgh, this airport will be simultaneously released for P3Dv4 and XP11 at the same time and available via Orbx Central only. Please look out for more screenshots from Emmsie and the team. We are aiming for a release this coming weekend or earlier.

Ripcord
This is going to be a perfect jump-off airfield - fly about 30-45 minutes in any direction and you will arrive at one of about a dozen ORBX airfield destinations (maybe more, didn't actually count). akhbhat
I did part of my PPL check ride here--so, naturally, it has a very special significance to me. It's also a seriously scenic airport (traffic pattern in either direction takes you right over the straights and bridge). Surprised it took this long to model it, but glad we have it! Sundog
Oh sure, now I have to fly back there! I was just flying all around the Orbx Pacific Northwest airports last week. But I flew south than over to Honolulu, which I'm still exploring (Awesome and not too bad on my frame rates, although I'm flying slow). This looks amazing, I'm glad to see another great airport for the PNW and they have suds, pizza, and pie! Like I needed another reason to fly there. I'll definitely be hauling some extra weight out of there. (Obviously the suds are only for arrival and an overnight stay.)
plicpriest1
Ok so some feedback for the ORBX team. The start of this thread really captured my attention. The hinting that the release could be this weekend or earlier really caught my eye. Especially the earlier part. So I have been on this forum checking for updates quite a bit. Is it ready? Is it ready? Then I just decided to check my email. Boom there it is! Release announcement!!! So I am literally downloading it as I type. The feedback is this: your marketing strategy is working! Making a high quality airport that fits in perfectly in the region. Announcing its coming soon. Then beating posted release with a teaser. A+ Well that is all. Ill be up all night flying around KTIW

Chunk
Well, well, well...I had sworn off anymore P3D purchases until MSFS2020, but lo and behold, ORBX had to release an airport literally in my backyard. Well played ORBX, well played.

gaab
Because it is not clearly specified in the description and it seams to be the new fashion to be summer only (see London City for ex., not to mention ThrueEarth - except NL) On the contrary it is listed in Samezan description : Seasonal variations Hence my question.
John Venema
Yes it has full seasons, as all our P3Dv4 products do. I have updated the product page to make this clear, apologies for the oversight.

Gulfstreamtwo
As I understand things, add-ons for land class based areas (here, PNW) have four or even five seasons where there's hard winter. Anything for the TrueEarth series are not seasonal because the photo/ortho backgrounds are summer only.
gaab
TrueEarth NL does have season.... On Orbx Direct Quote Complete seasonal variation: 5 hand-coloured seasons!
