Stillwater
Ok, our time in Cairns had come to an end, ... ... so we needed to get ready for another exciting location. First we took the commuter from Cairns, ... ... and checked the competition. JetStar even parks on the wrong side. The SID leads directly out to the sea... ... making it difficult to catch a good city view. Just after the first hills you see the sugar cane fields of Gordonvale, ... ... while the left side of the plane can enjoy the reef islands. After passing the Hervey Bay area (far in the distance)... ... the STARs SMOK5x lead us along Redcliffe. A beautiful final into the 19 over Brisbane harbour and the mudflats. Not so beautiful the ground textures in YBBN since the AUv2 upgrade. And difficult to land... But at least we found a proper parking lot. Now let´s try to find the rental car station (not easy I can tell you)!

VH-KDK
Another great mix of RL and Sim Photos Gerold. You must have a very long lens to take photos out of both sides of the aircraft though. Good to see the Jetstar caterer delivering the meals in your first photo! Did you do a Harrison landing at Brisbane, that "runway" does look narrow! Look at the reef islands - totally matching! 19 hours ago, VH-KDK said: Another great mix of RL and Sim Photos Gerold. Or... a helpful daughter on the A-seat... 19 hours ago, VH-KDK said: Good to see the Jetstar caterer delivering the meals in your first photo! I knew it was right not to choose JetStar, at least when I saw them being loaded from the blue cart. 19 hours ago, VH-KDK said: Did you do a Harrison landing at Brisbane, that "runway" does look narrow! Hmmm, what is a "Harrison"? I felt like a "Sully" and did not know if that stuff was solid. I have set all airports to "AUv2", but still hope that Orbx will soon come up with an integrated and working update of airport elevations for AUv2. A certain Harrison Ford who landed his Husky on a taxiway. The third last image looks like a taxiway or the road outside the airport!
