jbirdsal
OpenLC NA appears to struggle with sea level tiles -- first screenshot taken near Exuma, Bahamas (MYEF) with openLC on, second with openLC off. No other changes were made to the scenery library. I have noticed similar problems around the Everglades and Key West. Cheers, Jason
Doug Sawatzky
Hi Jason Please confirm you have applied the below basics. Ensure the Orbx Libs are installed and up to date, and I would do a verify files of them from within Orbx Central. I would then go to settings/help and run the Sync Simulator function first. Then you can go to settings/Insertion Point and set them like this. Ensure all of your 3rd party non Orbx addons are at the top of your scenery library and above your FTX entries. Then in Orbx Central Insertion points "Orbx Airports and Regions”, put your last non Orbx 3rd party listed in your scenery library addon in the INSERTED BELOW window. Then for the "Orbx Global openLC” ensure the Orbx Airports and Regions are in the INSERTED BELOW window.
Dieter
The entire Caribbean region is affected by this "texture morphing". It's up to Orbx openLC NorthAmerica! This problem is not new, see here:https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=182741#p182741 andhttps://prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=133011 I had contact to about 15 experienced users. They all have this problem! It is an inconsistency between P3D v4.x and Orbx openLC NorthAmerica.I do not know if this problem was ever reported to Orbx? Try deactivating Orbx openLC NorthAmerica 1 and 2. Then the problem will be disappeared. Even if your insertion points are correct and you don't experience any terrain.cfg error, the problem will stay! All help and advice to eliminate this problem are unsuccessful and run into a void. fl95
The implementation of the Caribbean of ORBX is already very bad. They should correct it as soon as possible. Achim
cappo123
I have exactly the same problem as Dieter is showing us here. Insertionpoints and priorities are checked and OK. Its quiet bad to fly in such a nice region with these black "holes".

Clearly there is a problem with your installation and not the product, all of my Caribbean region looks just fine.....maybe start by doing a full uninstall and reinstall of your OpenLC product. okupton
I was having the same issue in North America and finally got it fixed. I reverted back to using the old FTX Central in place of the new ORBX Central and my problems are gone.
Doug Sawatzky
When using the new Orbx Central, all the global products should be installed into the root simulator folder and not in an external library....this is what the previous FTX Central does. Nick Cooper
Hello, I saw the same problem at TVSM and solved it by verifying the files for open LC North America.
MisterEd
I also have problems with texture morphing in the Caribbean region. My global products are installed into the root simulator folder! And yes, I did a full uninstall and reinstall of OpenLC NA! Sorry, but my problems are not gone.
Dieter
First I followed Nick's advice verifying the files for open LC North America - no success. Then I opened Orbx Central to do an uninstall of LC North America. At this time I got the update to version 4.0.27. After that I completely uninstalled open LC North America and did the new installation (into P3D/Orbx main folder). Result: Texture Morphing has disappeared. (I don't know if this is due to latest Orbx Central or not as I already did same procedure some weeks ago without success.)
Nick Cooper
Hello, thanks for the feedback. I do think that for now, it will be better to install the open LC software into the P3D v4 root folder. Those who have done this do not seem to have the same problems or if they do, they are resolved by verifying files which of course also applies the latest version. lawrence aldrich
For whatever it's worth......since day one of the new ORBX Central release, I have not once ever deviated from installing everything into the root folders. I have not had a single hiccup yet with anything and my P3d install runs flawlessly. Just saying, gentlemen..……………...
jbirdsal
OK, steps completed as directed above, no fix yet. Will try full uninstall/reinstall of openLC NA next and report back. Incidentally, when I first happened on this problem I did initially disable openLC NA 1&2 to "correct" the problem, which worked (and identified openLC NA as the culprit). Thanks to all for weighing in. Cheers, Jason
