John Venema
Following on from the acclaimed LFLJ Courcheval Alitport for XP11, we're pleased to offer this DLC expansion pack to add in a high detailed LFKX Meribel Airport, located in the adjoining valley, about a 5-10 minute flight. Once again Gaya Simulations have done a superb job of adding in all the little details and creating a lively atmosphere at this iconic destination, which has an equally challenging approach as its neighbour. FEATURES Another challenging short strip approach over a golf course Sloping runway Many animated cars and golf carts Ultra high quality modeling including ski lifts, equipment, chalets and more Includes the alpine village of Meribel custom modeled Volumetric grass and custom trees and vegetation Realistic night lighting Very keenly priced as a DLC addon This airport will be available imminently inside Orbx Central as a DLC add-on for LFLJ Courchevel XP11 and priced at AU$9.95 (USD$6.80, GBP£5.30, EUR€6,10)
TigerTigerM
Nice work, generously priced. A lot of interesting detail, [eg, folds in the pool cover 3rd to bottom shot] Re the last 2 shots - the cross bars on the chalet roofs - are they to trap snow or are they heated bars to melt it? Not familiar with the building code for that part of the World. TTM

BrianV
Awesome, I am getting in an all-alpine mood. Great shots and scenery.
Bulva
Very nice but ... The same Mesh will probably be used as in LFLJ, so you will still not be able to use: - Alps part 1 photoreal and scenery of neighboring airports, for example: LFHU (free and very nice), LFKR ..., which use mesh from Ortho4XP. Or maybe there will be options for choosing Mesh ? ;-)
StevePHL
@Bulva Yeah Poopy did do a nice job on that free LFHU, patches and all. I am hopeful yet for patches that will make these stunning airports from Gaya/Orbx work well with that full ortho tile. Maybe Poopy could even do the patches. Not familiar with the building code for that part of the World. That's a really good question. I was wondering that as well. My first impression, especially because one roof even seems to have guard rails, was that they were there to stop you sliding off the roof if you need to go up and brush a load of snow off. I am probably wrong, but that's the first thing that entered my mind.
Richard747
Both Courchevel and Meribel altiports are great additions. However many people only know them from ski holidays. To make these truly worth it there needs to be a snow model. Meribel is snow covered in winter and the Jodels are flown with skis on. Courchevel is swept but has significant snow banks. So a winter option please.

Dusterman
Great addition to the one altiport available from Orbx. Any possibility the other altiports are in Orbx's plans? I have always preferred the small Orbx airports and the altiports definitely fit that description.
palple
Day 1 purchase for me! Hope you'll consider also Alp d'Huez and Megeve to complete the whole altiports set! And I'm dreaming of a TE Alps product...
DocBird
Looks great! Now off to make Zermatt! That would be stunning! It is, however, only a heliport but certainly worth it. Surrounded by a lot of 4,000 meter high mountains (incl. the famous Matterhorn) and a lot of huts with helipads this is one superb place to fly! Been there and made a touristic flight in a Eurocopter AS 350 “Squirrel” and that was one of the best things I ever experienced! Many happy landings! Not for safety reasons at all, but because a thick snow cover is the best way to insulate from the outside cold (as strange as it may seel at first). It keeps warm/temperate air close to the roof, and prevents heat deperdition when the wind is blowing or during night time. All mountain houses and chalets feature this system as old as man lives in mountains.

Yep and you can see how badly is isolated a chalet by just seeing the amount of snow compared to the others around. and 'im suprised tnat on one of the building they add edge hadn rail because we install them only for work/refections of the roof.
