jacobmulder
Hi, since I installed the new FTX Central I am having black Sections in the scenery of both North and South Germany, I have Uninstalled and Reinstalled both with no difference, see Screen photos attached. What could be the problem and how can I overcome this problem. Thanks Jacob M
livermeister
Dear Jacob, I have exactly the same issue (V.4.0.16 of FTX Central), even withouth Germany North/South installed. This is a screenshot of central/west germany in which you can see the black tiles. Aircraft is located at Frankfurt (EDDF). I have verified the LC EU files and everything seems fine. Issue is still present even withouth REX. Installed ORBX products in this region: ORBX Global ORBX EU LC Cheers, Nik

Doug Sawatzky
Hi Just open Orbx Central, click on "Global Range" then click on Orbx Libraries, then click on the "Verify Files" option.
jacobmulder
Thanks Doug we are never to old to learn running the Verify Files in the Library now, how often does this need to be done. cheers Jacob.
Doug Sawatzky
Hi Jacob It is normally used just for troubleshooting and is not intended to be done as any specific routine.....did it resolve your issue? You can also do the Verify Files for any Orbx product as a first process of troubleshooting.
jacobmulder
Hi Doug. I have Verified the files but it did it resolve the issue, I don't know because when attempting to do a flight from EDDF to EHAM the flight loaded to 75 % where the loading stopped and after some minutes the Prepar3Dv4 shut down so have done the drastic measure of Un-installing both North & South Germany, after a restart of my PC the same flight loaded in 3 minutes with no problems in completing the flight. Have you got any other suggestions Cheers. Jacob
Prisco
Hi Jacob, i had the same issue. After verifieing the files, i corrected the insertationpoints in ORBX Central. This solved the problems with Germany North an South. Joachim
Doug Sawatzky
Yes Jacob I would go to settings/help and run the Sync Simulator function first. Then you can go to settings/Insertion Point and set them like this. Ensure all of your 3rd party non Orbx addons are at the top of your scenery library and above your FTX entries. Then in Orbx Central Insertion points "Orbx Airports and Regions”, put your last non Orbx 3rd party listed in your scenery library addon in the INSERTED BELOW window. Then for the "Orbx Global openLC” ensure the Orbx Airports and Regions are in the INSERTED BELOW window.
jacobmulder
Hi Doug I have done the Sync Simulator and have done the Insertion points for both, after that I compared via share screen the Insertion Points with a friend of mine who also has Prepar3Dv4 and he has in both at the top as follows {Top of Scenery Library.} He does not have black sections in North or South Germany, would it help if I re-install FTX Central, of course I hve not installed North and South Germany. Cheers, Jacob.
jacobmulder
Hi Doug Further to my previous reply I have now Top of Scenery Library in Both Insertion Points so I will now Install North and South Germany a bit later as I am doing a flight with one of my Sim friends and will let you know the result Cheers, Jacob
jacobmulder
Hi Doug. Just a follow up to say that I am pleased to let you know that the Black sections in North and South Germany have been resolved, I want to thank you for you help that was a great worry for a while, I still do not understand why this happened as both were purchased in 2016 and 2017 when they were released and worked fine for all that time, I only noticed the Black sections after FTX Central 4.015 was installed as I do not fly over Germany all the time. Anyway again I am very grateful for you for your help. Cheers, Jacob
