JohnnyJohnJohn
Well, went to the local airfield to traffic spot today, got some photos of my Custom Cavalier Z24 Convertible. 21 years old. Its in front of an old Stinson parked in back of on the Tarmac. An aircraft was doing touch and goes, but not at all while I was there with the car, unfortunately! Would have been cool to get a photo of the plane taking off. Any way, any of you have a custom car or hot rod at home? Feel free to post a pic! Called "The Green Dream" Even has LED lighting under the vehicle set to the Vehicular color. Have a great day all! Figured the first photo is at least aviation related
Dadtom65
Very nice John and love the lights. At the moment we have a bog standard Ford Focus 2007 job and at our age we don’t need any thing else. We have had our cars, the one before this one was a 2002 Jaguar saloon in British racing green. That was nice and we had it about five six years. The only trouble was it had come down from Scotland to the south and ended up with needing a whole lot of work done to the underneath which we could not afford. Oh and we had also a Ford XR 4i when we were young. That was also fantastic and very fast. Derek.
Rodger Pettichord
Triple J, talk about opening Pandora's Box! Get the car guys going on top of the computer-tech guys and the flight sim guys, and we may have a melt-down here in ORBX land. Hope nobody brings in the model railroaders--that would put us on overload for sure.

I fell in love with no car payment, and I bought it at the ripe old age of 2 years old. LOL. 24k miles and the rest is my driving history. 6 hours ago, Rodger Pettichord said: Triple J, talk about opening Pandora's Box! Dadtom65
Ok let’s get it started. When I was young I loved making model plastic planes and the balsa wood ones. Though as I got older I concentrated on the plastic ones. Made loads of them and had a place up in the what we call the loft where I stored them. But as I got older I started to loose patience doing them so gave up and concentrated on the Flightsims . Had an old Frog catalogue of them that I kept for years but think when we moved about 9 years ago as we were moving to a bungalow we had to get rid of loads of stuff especially aircraft books. . Still got loads of old Fltsim stuff though and the books . Derek.

Nick Cooper
Hello JohnnyJohnJohn, as this has nothing whatsoever to do with flight simulation, this is the forum for it. Also, wonderful though these photographs are, there is no need at all to quote them all again and then add two lines of text. This is my 24 year old. Rodger Pettichord
A trick for those wanting to quote a passage but not the photograph -- you can left-click the photograph and it will turn blue. Right-click on the blue square and left-click "cut." This will remove the photo and keep the text. Just remember that you now have the photo "copied" until you save something else over it. I had a thing for these old Mercs for a long time. I had four models over the years, this was a beaut but cost a fortune at MOT time. Like all the others, it eventually died of rust. Apparently they never used underseal, believe it or not. I got this one off eBay for the princely sum of £1750, and got about 5 years out of it. Nowadays I pootle around in a more modern (but still 10 years old) Honda. This was a 420SEL, grey leather and all the whizz-bangs inside. Purred and then roared, all the time like sitting in a Laz-Z-Boy (is that how you spell it?) - wonderful, and I do miss it.

Nick Cooper
Hello, mine is tucked away in a garage for the winter, we cannot have salt attacking it underneath. Yours is a beautiful car and also a lovely colour. Is it ironic that we each admire cars from the other's country? Especially now when so many cars seem to look the same. Guest
I just call mine 'bitch' when it needs a seeing to. It's an 18 year old Ford Escort I bought from new. Just past the 60,000 miles and works like it did when brand new. I wouldn't swap it for the world. So comfortable to sit in and drive. When I worked I had a top of the range mercedes company car. Couldn't stand the rotten thing. The seats were like sitting on sheet metal and it was so unwieldy to drive I wonder I never crashed the thing. It wouldn't have been so bad if It was simply for show but I used to have to drive 22 - 24000 miles in it every year on business. After a couple of years putting up with this I persuaded the Transport Dept., to allocate a Ford to me. They happily provided a top of the range at the time Ford for me that was so comfortable and an absolute delight to drive. When I retired I had to reluctantly hand the one I had back to them. They wouldn't let me buy it, so I bought another Ford. Can't remember what that was. It was big. Sheila thought too big. Didn't have it that long. A lorry crashed into it when it was parked in the road. I then bought the then Escort and Sheila had the Fiesta. It was daft having two cars then but she wouldn't drive the Escort and hasn't driven since. Shame really but she said she never liked driving anyway. TuFun
Jankees does those, I don't do those type of military aircraft. If selected my focus will be MSFS. Sim-outhouse and Avsim has lots of repaints for MJ C-47.
