Virtpilot
Hello, my question is that is it possible to install ORBX HD Buildings outside of the sim? As an add-on.xml. I have Prepar 3Dv3. Best regards Tapani
Nick Cooper
Hello, for P3D v4, this is what happens for everyone. Unfortunately, no account has been taken of P3D v3 in Orbx Central and it is treated in the same way as earlier versions of P3D and FSX.
Virtpilot
Thank you for your answer. Is it possible to move it afterwards manually to another drive and create an add-on.xml?
Nick Cooper
I think it would be difficult, as it replaces the default textures. If you wanted to try a workaround, you would need to first create a dummy P3D folder and install the files. Then you would need to arrange them in a separate folder and write your own xml file. I attach a copy of the xml file for you to look over. add-on.xml
Virtpilot
Ok, thank you very much for that. I will try that. The reason is that I´m very short of hard disk space inside my sim folder. And I´m very interested about that HD Buildings. Regards Tapani
Virtpilot
So I finally bought and installed the HD Buildings and wish to say a big thanks to ORBX for this product. What a wonderful change it did to my beloved sim!! The installation did not go according to my plans however. I had created a dummy folder to another drive and I wished that ORBX Central would install the product in there. But no, it installed it into my sim (as it suppose to do I guess). Now I have only 6.3Gb left in my SSD drive. Hopefully there is no harm with that one. But anyway, things are looking much better now Regards Tapani
