Elevation Tool Crashing

Hi,

I'm running v1.6.5.

I've tried the batch file, but get this response:

C:\Users\Matt\Desktop\New folder (2)>cmd /k AirportFinder.exe "p3dv4" "c:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\"
Unhandled exception. IniParser.Exceptions.ParsingException: Unknown file format. Couldn't parse the line: '

C:\Users\Matt\Desktop\New folder (2)>

I have tried syncing the sim, but it comes up with an error.

Have attached a copy of the log.

Where is your copy of P3D installed?

I am guessing that you will need to edit the batch file to reflect that.

Was not aware of that, sorry. I've now edited it to the correct path, but get the same result.

C:\Users\Matt\Desktop\New folder (2)>cmd /k AirportFinder.exe "p3dv4" "H:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\"
Unhandled exception. IniParser.Exceptions.ParsingException: Unknown file format. Couldn't parse the line: '

C:\Users\Matt\Desktop\New folder (2)>

Guest Josh Koz

This underlying issue itself so far appears to be the Airport Scanner failing to complete if it encounters a malformed file.

I've made some changes to the AirportScanner to handle these cases. I'll rebuild and provide a download link here as soon as I can.

Following this up, a new version of the Vector Configurator has been built with a more robust version of the Airport Finder.

You can download the new version of the Vector Configurator here:

https://web.goog.cdn.orbxdirect.com/software/vector-configurator/FtxVector.Configurator.1.6.6.exe

If there are no issues, we can bundle this with a new build of Global Vector as the default control panel.

I've also tweaked the Airport Finder so it can be used as a standalone program to help diagnose issues going forward. Running this program without arguments will default to P3D and prompt for the path to the simulator root. It'll then perform the same scan as the auto config in the Vector Configurator with the addition of helpful output.

Hi,

The airportfinder now works and produces an icaos.txt file.

The link for the new vector config is pointing to verison 1.6.4

I now have v1.6.6 and it has worked; so far so good and no issues in the sim. Has solved my problem, many thanks Josh :)
