LynnL
I have just installed the Kord v2 scenery from FSDT. There is vehicle traffic crossing on the taxiway bridges (screenshot attached). I thought this might be caused by an elevation problem but KORD does not appear in the AEC drop down lists so if understand correctly global vector is not affecting the airport. Any ideas what might be causing this and how to fix it? Thanks
Nick Cooper
Hello, welcome to the forums. This will either be a road that runs under the taxiway in real life or a road that has been corrected by Vector and has exposed the misplacement of the airport. In this case, it looks like a road underneath.
LynnL
In real life it is a road underneath the bridges. Is there some way to correct this or is this an FSDT scenery problem. Thanks
Nick Cooper
Hello, not really. One of the things that Vector does is place roads where they should be and this does sometimes result in there being traffic running across runways and taxiways, when in fact it is in tunnels under the runway or taxiway. LynnL
So are you saying this is a short coming of Vector - no fix - something we just have to live with? I sure hope not!
Nick Cooper
No, unless you consider that placing the roads where they should be is a shortcoming? The problem is that the flight simulators do not understand underground. Microsoft created an exclusion so the traffic disappears before it reaches the airport boundary. Not very realistic either. You could disable road traffic while visiting the airport perhaps.
