YMML and Package 51? stop debugging process

Operating system:  Windows 10 Home 64

Simulator:  P3D V4.5

Screenshot:

Issues:  1/ Debugging of scenery database blocked in EFB Aivlasoft by YMML ORBX scenery, and Package 51

2/ P3D scenario loading stops at 70%

After migrating all my ORBX products to a library, when going through the debugging process of my scenery database for Aivlasoft EFB, it freezes with YMML (although the path appears to be correct). If I disable YMML, then it would stop at ORBX Package 51. What is it and why would this happen knowing that I have scenery add-ons in large quantity and used Aivlasoft EFB for close to 10 years with no such issue before? This seems to point to a xml problem.

As written above, and perhaps concurrently, when I load a scenario in P3D, the loading would stop at 70%. This is also a new problem that was never experienced before so it can only be related to the processing of all ORBX files.

What I have done so far is:

  1. Migrate all my 29 products to a new library with version 4
  2. Checked the files one by one to ensure they were correctly downloaded
  3. Configured them as they were before with version 3
  4. Define the level where the ORBX files should be inserted

Thank you.

Hi!

I'm not sure what Package 51 refers to, but I believe it may be Package.51 in your add-ons.cfg. Can you open your add-ons.cfg (located at %ProgramData%/Lockheed Martin/Prepar3D v4), search for Package.51 and see which path it refers to?

Can you also upload the add-on.xml that Orbx Central generated for YMML? Based on your log, it should be located at:

C:\Users\Simulateur\Orbx Library\p3dv4\YMML Melbourne International Airport V3\add-on.xml

add-on.xmlCapture.thumb.PNG.232af8afcf5a27f509df0dcf7b1070a8.PNGThank you Mitchell,

In attachment, please find a screen shot of the Aivlasoft database creator stuck on precisely on Package 51 followed by YMML, that will give you a clearer idea of what I meant, apparently they are one and the same, and regardless of my action (activate or de activate YMML), it still stops working when reaching that package.

I now realised just now, that without me even opening ORBX centre, my scenery .cfg list  (which I saved yesterday evening in Addon Organiser) has been totally reshuffled in a disorderly manner with some files from other developers being sent in a definitely wrong level (slides 4, 5, 6) which will further aggravate the situation, duplicate ORBX files (light green slide 1 and 2)), as well as two paths shown as wrong (slide 7 in purple) )to explain, I also attach some (not all it would be too long)  of the pages of my Addon Organiser where such problems appear.

Hi!

The add-on.xml appears normal, so I'm unable to give any further support regarding the EFB issue. You'll need to contact Aivlasoft for support on that issue.

If you haven't run Orbx Central, then I'm not sure what has caused this issue. Running 'Sync Simulator' in the Help section of the Orbx Central settings will layer the Orbx products correctly.

Thank you, I shall use the sync command once more (I did use it but it gave no result. In the meantime since my scenario loading times were extremely long (15 to 22 minutes 90% of which during the loading auto-generated scenery), I uninstalled all ORBX products through Central v4 and re-installed them one by one in the proper order hoping that it would resolve the issue. It did not, as a nasty bonus I now have also long P3Dv4.5 initial loading time to the scenario screen!!! The two loadings now take 40 minutes on 8700K!!!

  • What is the explanation for that and how can I resolve it please?

I made sure NOT to touch anything in the scenery cfg file and use it as ORBX Central made it (with several errors for my other airport add-ons which I will need to rectify one way or the other).

  • i Have several ORBX files remaining from the v3 inside P3D (in duplicate), which one can be eliminated and which one should be kept please?
  • Is there anywhere a document showing the proper priorities of ORBX files so that I may check which one are correct and which one need to be changed?

Thank you again for your kind help Mitchell, you sure are very lonely and brave in this battle and I wish you all the best. One would have expected an "all-hands-on-the-deck" call from ORBX to assist the numerous clients in trouble...

The load times can be attributed to many different factors and is influenced by many different things. This includes hardware, configuration, operating system, other products, etc. Therefore, I cannot give you an explanation.

If you've migrated a specific airport/region and its folders still exist within P3D/ORBX, you should be able to safely delete those folders. The P3D/ORBX/FTX_AU/FTXAA_ORBXLIBS folder and P3D/ORBX/Scripts folder should not be removed though.

I'm not sure if this exists. You may be able to find this by searching the forum.
