Tailspin07
I've used this software before and it worked fine, but when I finally pulled the trigger on Real Earth Washington, I cant even get the download started. I fly x-plane all the time but FTX central can't find it and doesn't have the functionality to point it to the x-plane folder. What should I do? Tailspin07
Thanks for the quick reply Doug, I downloaded the new software and am encountering the same issue, just a little different. Cant detect x-plane, although now I get to pick one manually (of course, x-plane the only one omitted, fml). I have x-plane on a separate HD due to size, and can't move it....due to size. Is that what is causing this?

Nick Cooper
Hello, X Plane 11 does not use the registry. Instead, it uses C:\Users\Nick\AppData\Local\x-plane_install_11.txt. Please open that with notepad and check that the stored location points to the exact location of your X Plane 11 folder.
Tailspin07
Hi Nick. No dice, still cant find the sim, cant select x-plane manually. What is this software looking for when it boots up? Can I just have a .zip file I bought last week?
Nick Cooper
Hello, it is a simple cause and effect. Is your User Account perhaps not an administrator or if you are not the only account holder on the PC, could the file be stored in another account? Tailspin07
Alright, I moved a copy into my main user folder and that did it. Sheeeeesshhhhhhh. Thanks for your help.
Nick Cooper
Hello, as I understand multiple user accounts, software installed by one account holder is often not available to another account holder without it also being installed to that account?
