Ian Fisher Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Quote Operating system: win10 Simulator: p3d v4 Screenshot: Issue: I am having trouble installing Central. The progress bar has been stuck on about 40 percent for the past few hours. Any idea how to get out of this loop and install the product? Thanks Ian
Ian Fisher Posted August 6, 2019 Author Posted August 6, 2019 Hi Mitch It's been sat like that for the past 3 hours now. Somthing is not right. Why won't Central install? Ian
Mitchell Williamson Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Hi Ian, Something isn't quite right indeed. Can you try the following? Close the setup window Delete the following folders %localappdata%/Programs/orbx-central %appdata%/Orbx/Central Download the installer again from https://orbx.to/central
Ian Fisher Posted August 6, 2019 Author Posted August 6, 2019 Hi Mitch There were no folders at %localappdata%/Programs/orbx-central or indeed at %localappdata%/Programs/orbx-central so nothing to delete. I tried again using the 4.02 but still hanging after an hour, same place on the prograss bar. Further thoughts? Regards Ian
Ian Fisher Posted August 6, 2019 Author Posted August 6, 2019 I guess all you support guys are over in Oz and therefore in the middle of the night for you, hence the lack of responce. Anyone else care to hazard a guess as to what is going on here. I've had this issue for 24 hours now. I have a fresh install of p3d and I own every single ORBX product released for p3d but unable to add them to the sim because the installer is still stuck. The latest attempt has been sat there for around Five hours. The progress bar is pulsing but it remains at about 30-40 percent and no more. This should not be that hard. Regards. Ian
Mitchell Williamson Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 Hi Ian, Can you try to delete the following path and then begin the installation again? %LocalAppData%\orbx-central-updater It appears the installer may be running into issues when either downloading the components of Central or when trying to write that data to the disk.
