Laurie Doering Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 Hi, Mac OS X-plane Installing ORBX Central went OK except it did not synchronize in the last step. Now trying to install ORBX libraries for X-Plane and I get an error (attached). I should also not that when I shut down the computer, I must manually close ORBX central, otherwise the computer will not turn off. When going to look for the log report, there is also no ORBX folder within the Application Support folder. Laurie
Mitchell Williamson Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 Hi! Can you please attach your central.log file, we'll need this to identify the issue. You can open this file by opening up Settings within Central, then pressing on 'Help', and then 'Open Log'. Alternatively, this file can also be found at ~/Library/Application Support/Orbx/Central/central.log
Mitchell Williamson Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 Thank you for the log. I believe the issue may be your macOS version. What version of macOS are you running? The log file suggests the mac is on version 14.5.0 which corresponds to OS X Yosemite. While the Central application may start on Yosemite, the download and install process requires macOS 10.12 or greater (macOS Sierra or later). You would likely need to update your macOS to a later version in order for the installs to function correctly.
Laurie Doering Posted July 23, 2019 Author Posted July 23, 2019 Installed MacOS Mojave version 10.14.6 and all is well. Installed Orbx libraries without a hitch. Thanks Mitchell Cheers, Laurie
Mitchell Williamson Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Thanks for the update! I'm glad you're up and running.
