creamcot Posted July 7, 2019 Share Posted July 7, 2019 Since being directed to Elaine Dixons excellant guide I have always installed P3d outside Program Files,set UAC off & Run as Administrator by going into the shortcut properties. Before that with P3d v1 I did not set as Administrator & this caused issues. So when I recently installed Active Flight I was very surprised to get a message saying P3dv4 was not running with Admin rights & directing me to the shortcut to resolve this. But this was ticked with run as Admin. Then it dawned on me. I use Thrustmaster TARGET software to start P3d. So I went to the P3d .exe and set that to run as Administrator & Active Sky is now happy. Elaine says it is important and I fully respect that but there may be other people using similar products like TARGET to start P3d who may not know this. Any thoughts on this please?
