henry2323
P3D V4 is insisting on loading 5 Orbx files to near the top of the scenery library, between the xml airport sceneries and the non xml airport sceneries They are orbx!vector_obj, fixed apt, apt, cvx and exx. I have tried to reset the scenery order in FTX central, which doesn't help,. After starting the sim, I move the files down the scenery order to where they should be but as soon as I start P3d again, it reorganizes the scenery library and puts the files back into the same place. This has only been happening recently and I haven't installed any new scenery which may be causing the problem. It is becoming very frustrating and I am hoping someone may be able to help me. Nick Cooper
Hello, P3D is not, FTX Central is. It is set to place the vector entries just below Africa in the scenery library. However, if outside intervention has removed or renamed the Africa entry, it places them at the top instead.
henry2323
Hi Nick, Thank you for your quick reply I've just checked and yes, Africa is missing. Would reinstalling the client bring it back or should I try something else?
Nick Cooper
Hello, just delete or rename C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\scenery.cfg. Run P3D and it will create a new one. Close P3D and run FTX Central, wait until it has finished "activating Orbx scenery". Start P3D again and the problem should be solved. However, any other addon scenery will be lost from the scenery library, unless added by the xml method of course, it which case it will not be affected.
