This hurts a number of parties. Firstly Orbx, because lost sales revenue from stolen copies means less money to invest in working on AU GOLD and other projects. It hurts you, because now we have to add some red tape on the support forums to ensure we're not helping some kid who ripped the warez version and wants free support too! We have an idea based on some of the questions being posed, who is trying to make a warez version work. I find it appalling that after the huge R&D cost over twelve months by thirty people, that someone has to steal the software. Furthermore, it's a complete insult to Orbx to expect to support people who can't spend a few bucks on getting a legitimate license. Procedure for logging support questions on this forum We will keep it really, really simple. Just include the words "ORDER XXXX" in your forum signature (instructions attached). This is the order number you received from Flightsimstore.com, usually 4 digits, currently beginning with a 3. 1. It validates you as a legitimate customer 2. There is no confidential information passed to us or in the public eye 3. It makes it easy for Orbx staff to help you knowing you have a legit copy Please, if you log a issue and forget to include your FSS order number in your signature, please bear with us when we ask you to post it before we help you with an answer. Orbx apologises for any inconvenience this may cause our valued, legitimate customers. I am sure there are a number of sites we can point to you to take out your anger on. How to add your order number to your forum signature 1. Select the "Profile" button from the forum menus 2. Select "Forum Profile Information" from the side menus 3. Add "ORDER XXXX" at the top of your signature text box. You can keep all your usual signature information as it was, below the order number.

Don't worry, as OrbX staff have a tool that allows them to check the quoted order number against the member to ensure the person claiming support is a bona fide customer.
