I had to go around, increasing my chances to see the northern lights (sucessless).

And finally we were allowed to land.

Really beautiful pics from the north. This sloped runway looks impressive.

Oh yes, these runways are magnificent work!

Glad to see you found some daylight to show us your flight. :D Now I'm very curious to see where you're going next. Perhaps to Novaya Zemlya to meet the polar bears? B)

In fact I was looking for polar lights. No chance. Novaya Zemlya could be another option... but only with OLC Asia!

Somebody once said : when is the best time to visit Norway ? ...... The answer is : anytime , it's Norway duh ....:rolleyes:B):D:)

Cheers

John

Correct saying, John. It is fascinating in summer as well as in winter. You can use the remaining seasons for the remaining countries of the world.

Gerold - you appear to have changed your beverage of choice and I really like what I'm seeing.

Alcohol-free weeks, due to the prices up there in Norway!

Beautiful flight, Gerold. I hope there is good heating in that cockpit!

Oh yes it was, Rodger. Nearly room temperature btw... ;D!

Since they didn't include Spitzbergen / Svalbard in OLC Europe, I doubt they're going to include Novaya Zemlya in OLC Asia.

It's already mid-february though and still no news from OLC Africa!

SOme beautiful images that are making me shiver Gerold.:o

I needed to do some flights in cold climate in order to compensate the current heat of Australia, Martyn.

Oh, these negative waves, Lars :o!

I am relaxed with OLC Africa... but on the other hand it is the key to my keenly-awaited Asia!

Thank you Jean Marc. Indeed it is a fascinating area to fly - and very rare in real life!

great winter lighting in these, great title

Thanks Ken. I doubt that we ever see these winter lights where we live...!

As I inspect all the offerings, your title always makes me hear this.  John Ritter's dad did the soundtrack but I always liked this version.

Much more sun in the movies than in my post, OnD.

The video is a great summary of the story!
