Hobnobs
Thank you so much for these. This is my neck of the woods and it's amazing the level of fidelity and accuracy that's been achieved.

Paul Golding
Looking at the Southend/Leigh shots, I really am impressed with how well the buildings appear, including my house too
andy1252
Great shots, and Southend certainly looks better the higher you get! (I'm allowed to say that, I lived there in my youth (and you can interpret my comment from an aviation or '60s perspective - it's true both ways<grin>))

kernel32
I spotted a train in one of those shots - are there moving trains in the p3d version?
tdavart
Looking very nice. Probably WIP, but some of the concrete areas look kinda green.
Christopher Low
It might be nice to have a 3D model of that long pier that can be seen in pictures 4 and 5.
Jester945271
How about today? In all honesty the Ford complex has a fair bit of vegetation in it. There are 3 huge wind turbines and it’s been cleaned up a lot in fact there is a nature reserve on Frog island. Jester945271
That long pier is unless I am very much mistaken, Southend Pier. I think its possibly the longest pier in the world. Great fish and chips at the end of it lol

Take another look at my sample. In fact this doesn't look like it's just confined to the Ford Factory. It does look like some of the car parks and roads (especially in the last 2 screenshots) have a green tinge to them. Noticeable in the Wickford shot too. Road colour in general would be my only concern from the screenshots so far, because by and large, most UK roads are tarmac......and that's basically black under most lighting conditions, except having typed that and then gone to find some photos, they do of course NOT actually look black at all! Maybe I just think they should be darker. Regardless of the above, this is still a whole new world compared with default, Global or EU England. The longest pleasure pier in the world, despite a few fires and the occasional ship crashing through it over the years. Jester945271
LOL I remember years ago, Rossi's ice cream and Paul's Fish and Chips MMMMM, more recently it pays host to Jamie Oliver
Paul Golding
Rossi's ice cream! Officially the best ice cream in the world and they still have their retro 60's ice cream parlour on the seafront, conveniently less than a 10 minute walk from my front door :-) To stop this thread drift, I think it must be release time Edited February 4, 2019 by Paul Golding
