PETC
Hey guys, I've used up all my google-fu on this one and am coming to the official support forums to ask about this. At some of the Orbx airports I fly out of on the regular there are some environmental sounds that are great to listen to when you're sitting in your aircraft with the windows open pre-flighting the plane, but after the engine starts you can still hear them and they're rather immersion breaking (hammering, generators starting, air tools, general wind noise, birds, etc). Turning down the environment slider on the sound settings helps, but they're still there and some mods use the environment slider differently so it mutes some sounds that I actually want to hear. I've also disabled all config options at these airports in an attempt to make the sounds go away and nothing works. I was wondering if someone knew where these sound files were physically located on the disk so that I can modify them and replace them with silent copies. Thanks! -Gary Windows 7 x64 (All service packs + updated) i5 6660K 32 GB DDR4 3200 EVGA GTX950 SSC P3D V3 (All updates)
Nick Cooper
Hello, please take a look in the main simulator sound folder. They have Orbx in the file name.
PETC
Thank you, Nick. I will take a look there. I was looking in all the wrong places, apparently! Cheers
