... not to mention the desert: All compressed into a relatively narrow area, that´s what Chile is about.

Climbing out from Arturo Merino Benitez International Santiago de Chile...

A surprising feeling at FL250: Ground level is quite high here, at least the GPWS did not sound.

A part of Atacama desert, probably no good place for an emergency landing.

The man in the moon is watching our approach initialisation.

Antofagasta harbour below. I hope the bars are ready to open soon...

Not too many landmarks around for orientation.

But Cerro Moreno International of Antofagasta is easily recognizable.

super set of shots Gerold i bet you are glad you went to  p3d regards EMM

You are totally right Stewart, I have never looked back to FSX. These extra effects are a pleasure.

That was cool Gerold!  I'm still amazed by the altitude down there, 25K feet and it still looks like you're low level.

Good to see this impression is captured in the shot! I was confused when I looked out of the window and double checked the altimeters - the ground really looked so close.

Another fine little South American Orbx excursion Gerold. I love those two shots in the middle with the pinkish horizon and stars, and then the moonshot capture. All in all, a great set of shots and trip :)

Very nice trip and shots Gerold, great light in those.

I planned the flight into sunset, Francois - and the weather was by chance. The rest is just good performance of the sim...

Thank you Landon. As said just above: The time was planned, the weather was luck. The performance is good - and the old HD moon textures do their job just as they did in FSX!

Where on earth do you find such amazin shots!? Answer: Only on the forums! Nicely done Gerold. Haha got the name right now.

Haha, thank you Bemuda! My pleasure to find the name mix-up yesterday, I will have to check any of my postings two times in the future not to undergo the same - well, this happens amongst out frequent posters, doesn´t it :)?

Glorious set Gerold and I do like the man in the moon image.:)

I was going to ask if this was the Virtualcol or Majestic Q400 but then I looked at the cockpit view!:o:lol:

Thanks for the compliment, Martyn. I really like the Majestic one, and with my self-written checklist she is not too tricky to handle.
