Paul Macfarlane Posted November 11, 2017 Share Posted November 11, 2017 Santa Monica Municipal Airport (KSMO) requires an Airport Elevation Correction (AEC). The airport has floating buildings/hangars and GA static aircraft. The airport/flightline and taxiways seem normal in comparison to the city outside the boundaries of the airport. NOTE: I flew the same route out of KSMO with a different aircraft, and the airport looked different, but was still sunken and reuired AEC. This time the buildings/hangars and GA static aircraft were even with my aircraft & airport/taxiways, but there were walls of terrain surrounding the airport.
