Stillwater
During a 4-hour layover built into the QantasLink flightplan, our tourist group remembered Smokie´s wisdom and hired a chopper... Tower, will you give us permission to take off? IFR practice. Heavitree gap... ... and a nice drive thru. In this case rather a fly thru . This hospital along the way looks interesting... ... we can even land inside! No we leave the field of legally allowed tourism... ... getting presented with the potential consequences. Better we look at the outstanding landscape, ... ... before spending a visit to the old Alice airport.
Jack Sawyer
Just wonderful Gerold, loved them all. Gosh, there's so MANY cool things to see, like that radar installation. This is very cool! Oh, I like your yellow copter!
VH-KDK
Thanks for taking us on this excellent tour of Alice, Gerold and I like the title of your post too. Has the hospital a soft roof or were you flying in a concertina chopper?! I expect they knew you were coming at Pine Gap unless they were tracking something else. Yeah, the pleasure of an orbx region, together with an orbified airport and some OZx stuff. Just great. Ah, the colour was not totally by chance... 20 hours ago, VH-KDK said: Thanks for taking us on this excellent tour of Alice, Gerold and I like the title of your post too. Yes the title rings a bell, doesn´t it? The impression of virtual red center flying is simply fantastic. I can even tolerate the slight scenery mismatch on/in the hospital... Luckily I was fast enough not to get shot over Pine gap. Plus, the N-callsign helps. 20 hours ago, paulb said: Another excellent series Gerold! Well done my friend . I would not envy your colleagues being based there, could get a bit boring soon. 15 hours ago, BradB said: Great shots from your visit to the "Alice" Gerold .
