The Merowinger
hello, I can't see any rain effects in ESSA when I'd set the weather to grey and rainy in P3Dv4. Do I have to use special settings for this feature. I have installed the latest version, 1.10. Kai

Florian Wolf
Hey @Marcus Nyberg, just a quick question. I have problems with fps and pbr rain effects. Is there a way to disable them?

Is there a way to disable them? Hey Florian! You can disable ESSA_GRD_2020_PBR_Rain.bgl, that will remove the pbr bit of the rain effect. The ground will still turn reflective when it's raining but if the PBR is the issue then this should help You find it in the FTX_AA_ESSA/Scenery folder. However, this is only the case for P3Dv4/v5. If you are using FSX there is no PBR effect and only the default reflective effect but that can't be turned off and I don't think it should have any FPS impact either. Florian Wolf
Thanks a lot for your great and quick help Marcus!! With my P3D I have the weird problem that I have massive stutters at PBR sceneries with overcast or rain just because of the pbr, the frames go crazy like 15-30 fps all the time. So I try to minimize the risk of getting that. I know that normally PBR sceneeries should be better on fps. However I'm still too lazy to make a complete reinstall of v4^^ Cheers Florian
