Researchers at work

Recommended Posts

Some of these shots are probably self-explanatory, just as the location is obvious:

According to wikipedia 18 researchers are the current population of Jan Mayen. What a hard life full of work they have.

Fresh meat on the barbie.

Before getting too confused, let´s fly north to the airport...

... where the next grill is active.

At least the tower personnel is on serious duty.

Up to the Beerenberg volcano.

Barbie #3. And having the drinks cooled will probably not be an issue there.

Now I did some serious cheating: Set the season to winter, and the time just after sundown (approx. 2 pm local time). The result is ... magic, even in the sim.

Thanks mate. I'm wondering who would take some time to discover these hidden pieces of life. In fact, I invented nothing as the Play del Alge does exist and is filled by hot water from volcano !

Richard, these RL shots are even more amazing than the simmed discoveries. As you surely know I LOVE sim/RL comparisons, but I have never seen them in a way like these. Even the BBQ. I am missing words. Pure enthusiasm...!

Brilliant Gerold! Well done my friend.

I would probably never have found them.

I love it! :)

Thanks Paul. I would never have found them if you did not inspire me to fly over to the Island!

Excellent Gerold.  I could have a fun field day with these shots in my comic, I'm sure Fred would fit right in.  :D

Oh that sounds like a good place for Fred to be. Make sure he comes in hot Summer, to have the temperature above freezing point.

Great discoveries in this set Gerold.

So much can be found just by having a close look or reading the manuals.

Sadly I seldom do either, I need to change.:)

"Manuals", what is that? I did carefully read this forum, and Richard himself gave a decent hint...

I think I know which of the comments you mean, Lucky. Even suited for vegetarians.

Either way would be fine as I'd find a way to make it humorous.  It just begs for a comic.  :D

So glad to read this, Jack. They are a great way to present screenies, and an unique way too.

Looks like a good place to work and hang out to me. :D  Nice find Gerold! :)

I am not sure about the work. But hanging around undisturbed it may well be!

I'm working on a great one now.  It's gonna be hilarious.  Then I have Andy's aircraft carrier shots to do.  But I love doing them.  As long as I'm allowed...:D
