Cloud storage, not always safe

Recommended Posts

That part of Norway is brilliant for VFR flying, so I naturally did this. Unfortunately with real weather, maybe I should rethink this part of realism for future flights.

Out of Bergen/Flesland...

... northwards, and then into the Sognefjord.

Descending a bit did not make the visibility better, a "nice" factor when you know there are mountains around...

At least finally Sogndal-Haukasen airport appeared from the haze. And quite good the Caravan can be slowed down & descended fast.

Nice northern weather welcomes the hikers...

Brilliant set Gerold and a witty title too.

As much as they obscure the scenery I do like them.

Many a time I have had to revert to an ORBX set when there has been unsuitable cloudy weather for what I want to see.

I was wondering why you were talking about cloud storage in this section, now I know...^_^. There are not too much clouds here, in my opinion, it looks great, more lively.

In fact it was a significant part of this flight that I was stored in clouds. No good for screenshotting...

Indeed, sometime you have to cheat with the weather to enjoy the beautiful scenery. I left it this way because I did this flight already earlier and wanted to try the Haukasen IFR aids (worked, as you can see).

Cloud storage, LOL!

Great shots, Gerold!

Best

Lucky :)

Basically the mountains were stores, or kept away from the pilots view...

They look great, and the element of using RW just adds to the more realism of flying I reckon.:)

cheers

That is also my intention: Fly as realistic as we can here. Even though in clouds...

Excellent Gerold!  :)    Norway and its airports have been some of my sale purchases this month. I look forward to exploring them soon.

Here´s looking at you, Paul.

Come to PNW in the Spring Gerold , and we will show you lots of "Cloud Storage" . :angry::angry:  We are almost triple our yearly totals (7-1-16 thru 4-30-17) .

Cheers

That sounds inviting. Fot IFR training, not for tourists, I must say... ;)
