FTX Scotland - SP4 - A little look

Recommended Posts

Scotland never looked so great now all these POIs have been added. Jam packed with these unique and significant features, you could spend forever re-discovering this amazing scenery.

Richard has sure done an excellent job here.

Here's a very small selection on whats on offer... all shot in P3DV3.2

Just spent some glorious time in the Scottish highlands near Oban, isle of Mull and Fort William. It's a great place for an amphibian or float plane ... plenty of lochs and castles to explore!

Lovely! :D

Can some AO shading be added to the textures though please? They look very 2D as is.

In the following shot the texture on the wall seems to repeat itself. Also, the wall is perfectly level and straight in all dimensions, which is rarely the case. At the very least can the wall be modelled to conform to the mesh please (I can see daylight underneath it)?

In the next shot either very different textures are used for different walls, or their UVW mapping (and scale?) is very different. Can this be corrected?

Thanks again :D

Hi,

Models and textures are intentionnally basic and lean to get the best performance as possible. Keep in mind it's a FTX region, not an airport. No oom, no cry :)

Will you do it if I Ardbeg?

Hey, I'll be happy with Scotland anyway. Besides, Islay would make a nice "full fat" package. ;)

While waiting for my single malt Ardbeg Galileo 1999, here is a postcard of Port Ellen from Carraig Fhada :D

I hope the stirling wallace monument is also included. For me is't one of the important POIs of the scenery.

See the addon scenery section. It's already done by Martin
