A smaller Hump

VH-KDK

Recommended Posts

The C-46 Commando was well suited  for flying over the Himalayas from India to China in WW2 which was known as The Hump. Some of the terrain was over 16000ft.

This short flight is not as strenuous for either the plane or the crews. It is in the Alps and the C-46 can safely fly along at 10000ft.

Terrific Martyn!  Mate you must put a lot of work into research for your outstanding tours.  I love them because I always learn something.

No worries Jack, I enjoy doing them and learning a few things myself.

Awesome Martyn, I see that Lufthansa is still flying after the weekend :)

I could not find an Austrian C-46, this was the nearest.
